Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was saved and baptized at Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist when I was thirteen years old. Our parents gave us a strong foundation through the word of God and all five of my siblings are still firmly planted in that faith. We raised our children in the Baptist faith to instill beliefs in God and provide a foundation to carry them throughout life in actions. I am thankful for the youth ministry that led our children to participate in mission work all over the world. Two of my children joined the LSU Baptist Collegiate Ministry while attending LSU. My son was a member of Beta Upsilon Chi, Brothers Under Christ, BYX. We witnessed amazing prayer and devotion carried on by this brotherhood at our camp on the Pearl River every year even after our son graduated. I fully believe God placed me in my current position as a representative for District 75. He has been preparing me through my whole life for this moment and I do not take it lightly. I am in constant prayer as I make decisions.
