What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Public schools ruin the employment prospects of many students. We need to return intensive phonics, arithmetic drill, history (instead social studies), and the Ten Commandments to public schools. These were forced out over the last century by John Dewey's (not to be confused with the Dewey decimal system) "progressive education" that replaced phonics with "whole word" (also called "look-say") reading instruction, called drill evil, crowds out history with social studies, and replaced the Judeo-Christian faith with atheism. "Progressive education" actually doesn't teach much, and low-income children whose parents cannot supplement public school instruction have their futures ruined by 4th grade, as they will not be able to get good jobs. Also tax hikes needed to provide remedial education and to deal with poverty and crime caused by "progressive education" make it harder for businesses to hire.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Cut taxes and regulations. However cutting taxes requires cutting spending, and cutting spending is difficult given the demand for welfare and entitlements and the amount spent on education. The first step to cutting the demand for government is either getting students or the John Dewey "progressive education", described above, out of public schools. Racial inequality in achievement will disappear and by 4th grade students of all races will be prepared for high academic achievement because they will have mastered reading and basic arithmetic. This will reduce the demand for corrections, law enforcement, and welfare. It will also reduce the cost of public schooling because their will be much less need for remediation.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Reduce healthcare costs by restoring free-market forces. Specifically, reduce premiums and eliminate fixed deductibles and co-pays and instead have everyone pay 5% of their medical bills. Why 5%? The percentage has to be low enough to be affordable but high enough so patients demand to see prices before they buy. Once providers are forced to post prices, competition will set in and prices will drop. In addition consumers will check their bills (prevents fraud) and will trade off cost and benefit, especially for costly end-of-life procedures, instead of having central planners do so, Perhaps most important, consumers will have a financial incentive to avoid costly chronic diseases by exercising, eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, and avoiding meat and chemicalized cancer-causing processed foods.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Greed and susceptibility to demagoguery
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. I believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. I believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, and the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. I believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. I also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent and virtuous and in doing good to all men. Indeed I may say that I try to follow the admonition of Paul to believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things. If there is anything virtuous,, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I seek after these things. -Adapted from the Articles of Faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
For 23 years I've been president of the Fairfax County Taxpayers Alliance. In that capacity I have studied many aspects of federal, state, and local spending trying to identify what drives up taxes and how to cut taxes while maintaining or improving the quality fo life. This is also my 8th run for office. In 5 of those races, if I had not run, the Democrat would not have had a Republican opponent. For 24 years I have been campaigning for fixing the early elementary curriculum that is the underlying cause of racial division in the United States.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Abraham Lincoln summed up our day in his 1863 proclamation for a national fast day: "We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!" Two months after the fast day, Lee lost at Gettysburg, and in the same week, Grant captured Vicksburg and an army of 30,000 Confederate soldiers.
