Reduce government regulations that hinder economic growth. Contrary to what many politicians believe government can not efficiently or effectively create jobs. The role of government in job creation is to establish an environment where honest people can prosper. Government can do this by reducing unneeded regulations and decreasing the tax burden it places on businesses.

Remove government regulations such as Certificate of Need (CON) laws that reduce competition in the health care industry. CON laws create monopolies in the heath care industry that favor large corporations who want government to limit its competition. Also reducing regulations that prohibit the sale of some insurance policies across state lines and that prevent small businesses from creating buying co-ops.

I believe our founding fathers were lead by God to create a nation where His word and His people could prosper. The people of the United States have done more to spread the word of God than any other nation. But, just as God warned the people of Israel when they demanded a king humans in positions of power are prone to abuse and expand their power. Our nation has remained strong because we limit the power of individuals.

As a legislator I have consistently voted against all bond issues. I have also consistently voted against all attempts to increase taxes on the people of Mississippi. I have four years of voting records in the Mississippi House of Representatives that prove my commitment to conservative principles.

Citizens of the United States are called upon to participate in our government by voting and by seeking positions where they can serve the public. As a Boeing 767 captain for FedEx I have learned to gather information and make decision, I use that skill as a legislator as I prepare to cast my vote. I also have a Masters degree in Education, this degree and my experience as a professor at Delta State University gives me insight and assist me as I make decisions relating to the education of our children.

I promised you four years ago that I would always vote according to the principles and values that you elected me to uphold. I have never compromised those values, I have never traded a vote or sold a vote for personal gain. This year I am asking you to support me for another four year term. I make the same promise now that I made before. I will always uphold the values of conservative limited government, I will always demand transparency and openness, and I will never sell my vote or compromise my principles for personal gain of money, position or power.
