Somewhat Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I am a member of the Republican Party.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I hold a bachelor's degree in business from Mississippi State University. I worked eight years with my late father at our family-owned weekly newspaper and gained valuable experience working with the public and managing personnel, in addition to helping manage a small business. I have 28 years experience as a community college administrator and gained very valuable experience in working as a "team" to complete projects and providing positive publicity about students, faculty, staff and administration. We also worked on a budget and made sure to stay within that budget! As a community college administrator, I also participated in lobbying efforts to request much-needed funding for our state's community and junior colleges. For the past four years, I have also served as volunteer lobbyist with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. Our efforts include proposing legislation to help prevent cancer and provide a more healthy MS!
E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have the time, energy and passion to help District 33 and our state grow and prosper. I have always considered myself a "people" person and enjoy working with others to complete projects and get things done! I do not sit back and wait for things to happen...I prefer to make it happen with effort and hard work! I have never had an " 8 to 5 job" and will do what it takes to accomplish whatever task is at hand. I am ready to go to work for District 33 and the State of Mississippi. And I will do my best as YOUR State Senator. I will work for the people, not vice versa! And I will always respond when contacted by the voters and citizens of our state.
