What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The fear that one man or woman would aspire to overthrow the democracy that makes our country great. History has proven that the love of power has been the downfall of strong countries all the way back to Biblical days.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontious Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. The third day he rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty: from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. To me the Apostles Creed is the foundation that forms my moral compass and my desire to live the great commission by spreading the gospel as I do life.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My voting record on taxes, the right to life, and my desire to get government out of the way. I have been awarded the Patrick Henry Award by the Natonal Guard. I have been recognized as a Champion for Children by the Foundation on Government Accountability. I have been awarded the Legislator of the Year Award by Mother’s Against Drunk Driving to name just a few.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
In addition to my medical expertese as an Optometrist for 25 years, I have met and spoken to patients each day for years. The patients I see are from all economic and social backgrounds so I understand many different life and cultural backgrounds. This background has led me to always consider the lowest common denominator in decision making. For example, in education the lowest common denominator is the child. If you make each and every decision with the best interest of the child in mind, the policy you champion will be of benefit to all. It has been my honor to serve using this as my guide.
