QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only if the mothers life is at risk. I would also like to mention that I authored the heartbeat abortion bill originally HB529. I won’t get credit in the media because career politicians and politics got in the way and a senate bill was adopted with my language amended into the bill but that matters not. To God be the glory. We need to push back against the overreach of the Federal government and the Supreme Court. No where in the U.S. Constitution does it give the Federal government or the Supreme Court the authority to force states to allow the unborn to be murdered without consequence. If Liberal states can ignore Federal immigration laws we should have the intestinal fortitude to protect life and liberty. I will do everything in my power to close the last remaining abortion clinic in this state. If there is an emergency during a pregnancy and a mothers life becomes at risk, that is what we have hospitals for.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
Socialism provides a robust foundation for a stable economy.
Strongly Disagree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Reform our tax policy to make our state more attractive for business, reform our public education system to have its main focus be on vo-tech and career tech training so we can start teaching our young people to work again rather than just how to take a test and cut off un-deserving people from entitlement programs. If we would get the government out of so many charity programs our church’s could do what they do best and take care of those in need.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
By creating an environment conducive for economic growth. Government does not create jobs the private sector does.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.
Strongly Agree
Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Our Federal government has destroyed our healthcare system by intruding into something they have no business being involved in. In short, the solution is a free market with less government interference and allowing private charities to take care of those in need. Until the Federal government gets out of our healthcare system then getting affordable access to all is much more complicated. We will need to be innovative and try some new approaches until they change the policies in Washington. On a statewide level one thing we can do is repeal our Certificate of Need (C.O.N.) laws. These monopoly laws prevent competition, driving up prices, restrict access and suppress the wages of healthcare employees.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
I support sanctuary cities.
Strongly Disagree
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Biblical values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.
Strongly Disagree
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
Strongly Disagree
Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Mankind is evil by nature, power corrupts all. Some just quicker than others. This is why God’s law must remain the foundation for our society or we will destroy ourselves from within.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a saved man. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. I believe we must protect the Constitution and the only way to ensure our liberty is to protect the 1st and 2nd Amendments. I believe that the final check and balance to our Constitutional Republic is our 2nd amendment, including specifically semi-automatic rifles and large capacity magazines. I prayed about running in this election for nearly a year. I was lead to run in this race. Every human instinct in me told me not to run. Not to put my family and my business through the stress. That I didn’t have the political endorsements or the money to win. In the end I submitted to my calling and ran anyways. It was the hardest decision of my life but it has been the greatest relief knowing I am doing the right thing. I have not prayed to win this election not one time. I have prayed for the right words to say at the right time, to know when to lead and when to follow and to have peace with the outcome of this election.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My voting record during my four year term is consistently ranked one of the most Conservative in the entire state of Mississippi. The public stands I have taken on important issues on social media. I am not afraid to speak up or to fight back against Liberalism and Socialist policies.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have built and run a business and farm over the last 14 years. I have grown that business through a recession and now have over 100 employees in a year work for me. I have lived and worked out in the real world, outside of the Jackson bubble. I may be one of the younger candidates at the age of 36 but there have been much younger leaders in our nation and I believe I have more experience running a business than all of my opponents combined, not counting law firms.
E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:
robert@governor.ms and 601-255-2575
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have a successful business and farm I have put my blood, sweat and tears into over the last 14 years. My wife Heather and I love our hometown of Hernando, where we are very involved in our community and where we have a strong network of family and friends. I don’t have a lot of campaign funds and some of my opponents have millions. I say all of that to say this. I don’t need a job, I’ve got one. I may not have a lot of campaign funds but we have social media now, I also haven’t made any promises and I don’t owe anyone any favors. I am a very deep policy person, I have a plan that will actually help our economy not be in last place, it is on my website. If you honor me with your vote to be your next Governor I will move my family out of our community, I will set my business aside and I will dedicate myself to the job for the next four years of my life. I will do what is in the best interest of all Mississippians and I will always put God first in all that I do.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support the death penalty.
Strongly Agree
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.
Strongly Disagree
