I am 100% Pro-Life and feel we need to protect all innocent life, including the life of the unborn. Life begins at conception and we now have the science to prove this. I am not for any exceptions to murder a baby in the womb. I'm also a supporter and an outspoken advocate of adoption.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Our Social Security retirement benefits program is in crisis and will fail to provide the benefits it was intended to if we don’t make some changes to the program immediately. I think by allowing people to have a choice to invest a portion of their social security from their paycheck into the stock market would be a good start. Currently, most employees look at Social Security as just another tax and truly don’t see how it benefits them. By letting people choose how it grows helps them make a more personal connection with Social Security and can clearly show how their choices can affect their future retirement benefits.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Cut wasteful spending programs. We do not need to be studying how promiscuous quails are on cocaine or cow farts. If scientists want to study these things great, we just don’t need to be using public funds of taxpayers to do so. They can find private funding for these kinds of programs. We also need to cut foreign aid, especially to the countries that hate us.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
The only time I think there should be any assistance in paying off student loans is if you are serving or have severed honorably in our military. I don’t think it’s the taxpayer’s responsibility to pay off student loans. I think we should look at the institutions that are charging these obscene amounts for tuition and fees. I think it is reckless on behalf of the school to allow students to take on so much debt for their education knowing it can potentially be financially crippling to them.

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means exactly what Thomas Jefferson intended the statement to mean. The Federal government does not have a right to recognize or favor one religion over another. Over the years it has been misinterpreted by some as meaning that you can’t mention or do any religious-like activities in any type of government facility, at school events or any public setting. This was not the intended meaning. Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian values and principles. We should be encouraging our religious values in the public square not silencing them.

I think the United States has done a good job under President Trump to take down the jihadist terrorists and their networks. I think we also need to look and focus on what is feeding these groups and that is the jihadi ideology. We must focus on eradication the ideology which inspires so much of the terrorist attacks and suicide bombers.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Our immigration policy goals should be to serve the needs of our country and its citizens. If we need more doctors then allow more doctors to immigrate here, but base it on our county’s needs. We should be selective as to who comes to our country to ensure they have the best interest of our country at heart and be self-reliant and not be dependent on government assistance.

In brief, I'm 100% Pro-Life, Pro-2nd Amendment, Pro-Military, and will fight to build the wall and defend our borders. I'm the bold new strong leadership North Carolina needs in the 1st congressional district fighting for you!

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The only thing restrictions do is hurt, law-abiding citizens. These “Gun Free” zones have proven to be magnets for criminals that want to hurt innocent unarmed adults and children. I think we have too many restrictions on gun ownership. I think the government should follow the 2nd amendment as it was written, and not as how they feel it should have been written.
