Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Whenever it is permitted by law, but it's important to focus on lowering the number of unwanted pregnancies in our country so fewer abortions are performed.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Because people with power can be corrupted and government institutions have a history of restricting the rights of individuals due to this corruption. A government must respect the individual liberties of all of its citizens for the country to be truly free.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised in a Presbyterian church and remain very spiritual today.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

As a Libertarian, I do not fit into the left-versus-right political paradigm. My goal is to advocate for, and if elected, protect personal and economic freedoms by implementing policies that will make Ohio's government more limited, transparent and accountable.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

By allowing people to create their own jobs and businesses and letting the free market and innovation prosper in an unrestricted manner.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would like to see an end to the healthcare crisis in our country by moving to a completely free market-based healthcare system, so that individuals may purchase health insurance and prescription drugs across state and international lines, and receive medical care at more affordable rates. The crony capitalist alliances of government and the big insurance and pharmaceutical companies have created an unsustainable system that separates patients from doctors and it needs to end before it gets too costly and deadly.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government should only maintain a fair legal structure for businesses to develop and flourish by keeping taxes and regulations low and allowing the free market to prosper.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

My education includes graduating as a valedictorian with a 4.0 from Bexley High School, getting a B.S. in Communications from Ohio University with Cum Laude honors and receiving an M.S. from Columbia Journalism School. I am a small business owner and entrepreneur and will run our state government in a similar manner. When I ran for mayor of Bexley, my main campaign platforms were implemented by the city and when I ran for Congress, my calls for personal freedoms to be legalized have since been realized and my warnings of fiscal irresponsibility in Washington have been proven correct. My unique experience of traveling the country and world in my professional endeavors while wearing Ohio on my sleeve will allow me to be a transformative governor for all Ohioans by working with both sides on issues on which we agree.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am running for governor of Ohio because we need a pro-freedom alternative to the political duopoly. As a millennial entrepreneur, no other candidate has the vested interest in Ohio’s future that I do. I plan on improving our state’s economy by reducing taxes and regulations on small businesses, and will cut wasteful spending from our state’s budget. I also would like to legalize marijuana and implement common sense criminal justice reforms to battle our state’s opioid crisis, which will save both money and lives in the long run. I will be a staunch defender of gun rights and will work to rollback the costly and corrupt Medicaid expansion program over an appropriate amount of time, and create free market based healthcare solutions to bring down the costs of insurance and prescription drugs. Ohioans deserve a fresh voice against the establishment Republicans and Democrats in Columbus -- millennials are responding to the Libertarian Party and it is the future of politics in America.
