A full understanding of human nature in general is the reason the Founders set up the system they did. Mankind's sinful nature is such that any government leans toward the consolidation of power and an increase of corruption. Our government was designed to be administered by Godly honest men, but the Constitution is in place to chain down the natural inclinations of all mankind.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. The members of Congress, their staff, and the people in the federal government in general should live under the same laws that the rest of the country does. They are not an entitled group or elite group of people. 2. Obamacare is having a negative impact on the healthcare system as a whole and on individuals simply because of what it is, but it is also crippling the country economically and fiscally. 3. The ever increasing national debt is having a stagnating effect on the economy and is diminishing the standard of living of future generations of Americans. To not deal with this issue because of a lack of political will is irresponsible. There are so many things that are going wrong in Washington. I cannot in good conscience the tough issues of the day. I want the best for my children and the country. I want to put the country back on the right track now, so that one day my children's children cannot ask me why we didn't fix it while it could be fixed.
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
Life begins at conception, and abortions should only be allowed in a medical emergency when the life of the mother is at stake, and there is no other option that will save both the mother and the child. Every child is a unique individual created by God, and public policy on abortion should be the same "policy" that a loving family would have for an unborn child that is dearly loved and wanted.

God, Voters if you mean the People, Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court - The people created the Constitution, but once created, it has the authority to protect against the whims of the people and mob rule.
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I have attended Gardendale First Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Church, since I was seven years old, and was saved and baptized there in junior high. Jesus Christ is the Son of the one true God, and there is no path to Heaven and eternal life except through Christ. The Bible is the literal, inspired word of God and is the handbook for this life and beyond, both personally and publicly.
