OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
No taxpayers should be forced to fund abortions.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Agree
People should have the right to end their own lives.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
In cases of rape, incest, health/life of mother or child.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
All forms of income should be kept by the person making the income and may distributed as that person sees fit.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
This is the way.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Abolish the IRS.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Any religious practice - so long as it does not interfere in a negative manor in the lives of others - should not be made illegal.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
If a business of person advertises a service or works in a field where a reasonable request of service is made, they should perform that service. However, should not be required to by law.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Separate.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D. Promises by government should not be broken. Sunset Medicaid and Medicare funding.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C & D. When goods cross borders, armies don’t. Government should not put in place barriers to mutually beneficial open trade with other countries.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Agree
I agree the government of Israel should treat all of the people in the land equally under law. However, I don’t think our government should force them to do that.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Neutral
Once again, if our government does not prohibit equal opportunity for trade of goods and ideas, no one should have to worry about a threat by a foreign government
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The United States government should treat any acts of terrorism as a separate case and deal with each appropriately. If we get attacked, we must hold those attackers accountable for their violence.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Neutral
The US government should establish a process for legal and peaceful immigration on our southern border. A “Ellis island” approach would allow for processing and documentation of migrants. This wouldn’t decrease illegal crossings.
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Disagree
Federal government should not be withholding taxpayer dollars which were collected from people of “sanctuary cities” because of their government actions. That is what a mafia does. Not the way a government should operate.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Any person who passes a reasonable background and wellness check. A processing fee to cover cost of migration. Asylum seekers in accordance with the constitution.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Agree
Government should not treat people differently per their sexual preference.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Disagree
Institutions can’t be racist. Only people can be racist.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in peace and non-aggression
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Agree
While a photo ID would be optimal, identifying can be subjective by the person checking a ID. Independent “blind”verification is preferable.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Remove private organizations (political party) from government documents (ballots and voter registration cards).
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
This makes no sense unless government actions were taken directly on that person for reason of race. Not descendants who have nothing to do with what happened before they were born.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
It shouldn’t be.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Neutral
I understand that oil and natural gas are a significant means to energy use around the world. However nonrenewable means of energy should be sunset for renewable energy sources in the future.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A is closer to my view. Corporations should be held accountable for any damages caused.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I am a libertarian. I want government out of the decision making process on all issues as much as possible.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Just about any public info about me would let folks know I am a libertarian and want government out of infringing on the rights of individuals and harming us.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
Government doesn’t know how to make decisions for your life. You do! Balance the budget, end the endless wars, legalize freedom
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Disagree
Government should not be given immunity which regular people do not have. Equality under the law includes government. End qualified immunity.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Neutral
It depends on what the redirecting of funds will actually do. Is there a law which is repealed which no longer requires as many police? For example, if drugs were legalized, there would be less need for more police and more for health.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. Get the government out of it. The intent of 2nd Amendment is for the people to be equal to the government.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
This makes no sense. Unless a firearm dealer or manufacturer committed fraud in the sale or manufacturing of a firearm.
