QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

In order to save the life of a mother which is extremely rare.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Simplified such as adoption of a flat tax.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The state should not influence religions. Religions and people with deeply held religious values have every right to influence the political process.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Never. Such decisions are between the doctor and the patient. Doctors should not have their medical licenses threatened if they do not support vaccinations.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. Temporarily until non-profit and other viable charitable organizations have shown that they can cover what they used to cover.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. We have been involved in too many wars around the world which has put too much stress on our military personnel and their families. We simply do not understand Islam and unfortunately disrupted the balance of power between Iraq and Iran. For us to get involved with boots on the ground, there must be an imminent or near future threat.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely believe that China is the by far the greatest threat the United States currently faces. China is playing the long-game and has basically declared war on us without our knowledge. We are behind in space, EMP prevention, South China Sea, Navy, and long-term economic viability. The greatest geo-political threat the U.S. has made in the last 30 years is giving China most favored nation status. China is locking up rare earth minerals, lithium protections, and other strategic minerals.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Support Israel and coordinate with other pro-western middle-eastern nations who recognize the threat. We must adequately screen those who come to our country especially from countries that view suicide bombing as acceptable.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

I've written a book that is called, "The Forgotten Immigrant: How Tolerating Illegal Immigration Hurts Immigrants. I also passed the first Human Trafficking Law in the State of Utah when I was a Utah Representative. We must help Americans understand that tolerating Illegal Immigration is not compassion. It discriminates against those waiting in line, minorities, especially African-Americans, and legal immigrants.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We must have a national conversation about how many legal immigrants we can allow into this country in order for all to be assimilated into our culture and values. We are reaching all-time highs in U.S. History for the percentage of foreign born to the general populations. I believe spouses should have a high priority and to a lesser degree family relations, but as a whole immigrants should match the skills of the general population. Currently, we prioritize the poor or uneducated which puts tremendous pressure on the the 30% of the nation whose jobs are considered "unskilled." We are crushing the working poor. We need to enforce our sponsorship laws so that immigrants do not come and immediately get put on government welfare programs. My wife is a legal immigrant. I did not have the assets to sponsor my wife in 1993 so I asked my father to sponsor my wife. My father said, "Chris, I will sponsor your wife on two conditions. Number 1, you always have health insurance as I don't want to be responsible for a pre-me baby. And number 2, you always have a job. My Dad took the sponsorship laws seriously as should everyone.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

It depends on how you define "protected class."

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

No nation in the world has brought more different races, ethnicities, religions, cultures, and nationalities together in relative peace than has the United States. America is good and we must teach our children this and not let the the Marxist destroy with race/culture since they were not able to destroy us with class warfare.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

In believe in a Creator who loves us and wants us to be happy. I believe that Jesus is the Christ. I believe in Nature Law and that God often reveals himself through this law. The Founding Fathers recognized these laws and were inspired to write their understanding in the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We are fortunate and must teach these values to our children as I believe like Ronald Reagan is the last best hope for freedom in the world. If America falls, no one will come and rescue us.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I believe in same-day, in-person voting with I.D. and paper ballots. I believe that we should follow the Constitution and hold elections on the first Tuesday after the first Monday, in November.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe that the perception that America is fundamentally a racist country is the real threat to domestic security. We're not perfect, but there is a reason almost everyone from around the world wants to come here.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Energy Independence is a National Security issue. We must become a energy exporter and take advantage of our natural resources why they are still valuable as this will help with our national debt and national security.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. Any decision must involve a cost/benefit analysis. I fear Russia, Iran, Venezuela and $120 barrel of oil, much more than I fear Global Warming.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am the only consistently conservative in this primary race who has been outspoken against CRT, The ERA Amendment (which my opponent voted for), the national debt, pro-America Energy Policy, protection of girls/women sports, and a proven voting record.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
