14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

It is in mankinds nature to attempt to enforce their beliefs through the highest level of perceived authority. The Founding Fathers believed that issues of our morality can only be properly judged and enforced by God, our belief in god and our Judeo-Christian values, not by physical force which is all that government is. (Continued from previous question) The founding fathers crafted a federal government to be limited in it's scope and power purposefully because great power can also lead to great abuse of power. The sought a delicate balance between the necessary evil of government and personal liberty balanced by personal/moral responsibility. The 9th and 10th amendment binds us who seek federal office from being able to legislate anything beyond the limits placed on the Federal Government. Nor do I believe that the Federal Government or any government has authority over our marriages - heterosexual or otherwise. This has always been a function of church until that same human nature the founders designed the Constitution to protect us against, sought to have government assume another power that they weren't meant to have. Just as with education, we as parents are responsible for raising our children with our morality, not surrendering that job to the state. The state is not God, and we are not wise to attempt to endow it with the authority of God. We as humans are ill equipped, lacking God's omniscience, to be able to evaluate and administer the necessary and proper force in these matters. This is why these issues are best handled (cont next question)

(cont from previous question) with our morality within our communities and families. This is the only way to spread our beliefs and preserve our Liberty, as intended. Lastly, we have no reason to fear any other type of law if we adhere to our Constitution 100%.
