Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

ONLY to protect the life of the mother, which of course is extremely rare.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Man's sinful nature.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ is my Lord & Savior. As such, I believe the Bible is the Word of God and its values are my values as well as those of our Founding Fathers and our Constitution.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I am on record through my website (vaughn4congress.com), many speeches, public appearances, media coverage, and the like, as being a staunch defender of freedom and supporter of the Constitution, Free-market Capitalism, smaller government, personal responsibility, equal opportunity, a strong military, school choice, and protecting America's borders, language, and culture. I believe only in LEGAL immigration of those thoroughly vetted and willing to assimilate into our American culture. I abhor and reject ever-increasing judicial activism and non-elected bureaucrats creating burdensome regulations.

Additional comment from candidate:

I am a firm defender of the 2nd Amendment and English only as our national language. I believe in mandatory term limits for Congress & the judiciary. With respect to the issue of legalizing Marijuana as a controlled substance, as a 21 year cancer survivor, I believe it should be categorized like any other controlled narcotic substance such as morphine, etc. I have met too many who have used it legally to relive severe pain and I would not deny them that right.
