-

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Healthcare access and affordability is the reason I am in this race. In 2016, I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer. I saw up close and personal how a family can lose everything with one diagnosis. Utah needs a representative who will protect Medicare and Medicaid and work every day for affordable access to healthcare for every American. I would vote each and every time for affordability and access to healthcare. I want Medicare and Medicaid to be able to negotiate drug prices like the VA can, and let's ensure that people can get preventative care under their plans which helps people be healthier and saves money. I will work across the aisle on a health care solution for every American--not vote to take away people’s choices. Medicare for All is one pathway towards affordable healthcare, as is the State Based Universal Health Care Act clearing the way for states to offer coverage. It is a moral obligation to leave no patient without care. Every person deserves to live with care.
