Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Up to end of first trimester and definitely if the life or health of the mother is in danger.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We should get out of Islamic countries that did not attack us so we do not incur hatred for being in their countries and attacking them. We should also end the war on drugs so they have less money from opium and we have more resources to check on tips and follow terrorist threats here at home.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The history of mankind had been one of leaders and followers, Kings and peasants, the ruling class and the rest. America's founders believed that we could represent ourselves and that individual liberties were the key to that. They believed that we could have a government to run the country but it would be by elected officials and that there would be certain rights that could not be infringed upon by that government no matter what.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe most people are good and good is defined by empathy. The Golden Rule, in whatever form, is the basis of good behavior. Some people, whether by upbringing or mental anomaly, do not have empathy and do bad things. We should concentrate on the fact that most people are good and let them do good things and move society forward.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am a Libertarian.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I don't think coverage or insurance is the issue. I think we need to make healthcare affordable and accessible to all. We can do that by getting insurance and government out of the way. We can drastically reduce the price of health care this way. As long as people can get catastrophic insurance at reasonable prices and we can provide HSAs to everyone (funded by the government to low income classes) everyone will have the means and ability to get care.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The best role the government can play is to keep out of it as much as possible. Picking winners and losers through subsidies or tax breaks is crony capitalism. The government should spend less and have a balanced budget so it can cut taxes. Lower taxes and less regulations (especially on businesses) will boost the economy more than anything else.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

I would prefer a flat tax system. Both on the corporate and individual tax code. A flat tax with no deductions (why should the government decide which things are good or bad for my money) would promote huge growth in the economy. Hopefully this would also end the class warfare arguments and would be more "fair" overall.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Unemployment is not really a problem right now. Usually it becomes a problem when we have an economic downturn. That is when businesses go under and employees lose their jobs. We can encourage more jobs in fields where people can work for themselves, like Uber. We need to change the tax laws and many regulations to make it easier to work for yourself. We also need to count the people working for themselves as "employed" when they are not often counted as that now.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I would allow people under 50 to opt out of Social Security. I would also end the cap on income. And I would look at means testing for recipients.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been involved with politics for over 30 years. I worked on some national and local Republican campaigns in the 90s. I have also been involved with the Libertarian Party of Nevada for the last 3 years as an organizer. I have always been interested in politics and personal liberty and minored in History in college. My specific interest was the Revolutionary War period and founding of America.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

My main goal is freedom and liberty. I would like to do what I can to make sure every American is free to pursue what makes them happy and prosperous. I believe in minimal government that doesn't have any say in people's personal lives but protects its people from harm by others and from other countries. I also believe in modern technology and that things will only get better with advances in so many fields. We need to concentrate on human potential and not get bogged down with tribal politics or moral superiority.
