OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is threatened. Planned Parenthood nor any other non profit or for profit private entity should receive tax money.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The greatest role government can play is to allow us to keep what we earn and spend it as we see fit. The role of government is to protect us from those who seek to interfere with this or to commit fraud. No one forces us to buy or support a thing outside of government. We willingly participate because we want things more than the money in our pockets. Only government uses force. I trust the free market and ourselves.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

We need to eliminate income tax as it is an abomination on multiple levels. It is wrong to even ask someone how much they make even more so to punish them for it. Principles like Thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not covet are 180 out of what our tax system is based on. Our government takes from us and we beg for a small portion back if we comply with the rules they establish. I understand taxes are a necessary evil but the only way for them to be close to fair is to have a consumption tax. Not on income or property.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The best way to bring down unemployment is to stop picking winners and losers through favored tax breaks, regulations, subsidies, tariffs and crony capitalism. Allow us to compete and we will win every time. Let us keep and spend our money as we see fit not as dictated for political favors.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The 3rd rail no politician wants to touch. Social Security and Medicare make up 2/3rd of all spending yet are a "non budget item" aka non discretionary spending/ entitlements. This is a trick to avoid all responsibility for the 21+ trillion debt we are saddling on our kids and grand kids with. Medicare is now in the red and cost over runs are coming from "discretionary" funds. Social Security will be in the red by 2030. It is paying out more than it takes in now but interest on what the government "borrowed" makes up the difference. The SS short fall can not be made up with discretionary funds. Starting in 2030 or sooner Social Security recipients will be forced to take cuts. It looks like about a 25% cut across the board. All this could be averted IF Congress does it's job and looks beyond the next election. We need to privatize both Medicare and Social Security incrementally at first moving towards total private control in the future. Benefits would go up and cost go down.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Neutral

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Government should have a very limited role in health care coverage. In fact it has been a major cause for people to lose coverage due to limiting choice and increased cost. As government involvement increased so has cost and we have fewer providers and less competition. The answer is to end subsidies to the few providers that can comply with the regulations and pharmaceutical companies and allow us to buy what we want from who we want. Open up the market and cost will go down as companies have to compete for our money and be held accountable. Governments role is to insure we are not being ripped off, that is it. Same with college cost, the financial sector and most all other industries. We need a return to free market solutions not crony capitalism.

NATIONAL SECURITY

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

The United States should help defend Israel from attack by its enemies.

Agree

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

The United States should protect its sovereignty from the United Nations.

Strongly Agree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We need to vet all those seeking entry and not pick sides in a Sunni/ Shiite millennium long war. If we are to go to war Congressional approval is required under the constitution.

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Disagree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our founders knew most who seek power do so for self gain. They also knew parties would rise to control government and the people for their own enrichment. God gave us our rights. We have free will, property rights and the right to liberty and it's consequences, helping others as we see fit not with force. We are portrayed as victims to be cared for or evil to be forced to care. We are neither and prove it daily. Government has become a hindrance to this end. Our founders trusted us, so do I.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised Roman Catholic but fell away from the church and organized religion as a whole as I saw many contradictions. When my daughter was born I knew God gave me a great gift but I didn't know how to care for her as I felt intended. I began seeking those who follow the bible and the principles it holds. I found that in full gospel settings and been a member of the Assembly of God Church since 1989. I fellowship with Christians of all denominations helping the community and am currently the Chaplin for my Gideon camp. I don't want my works politicized and feel doing so is wrong but also I recognize the need to inform people who they are voting for. Dirty business for a Christian to get into but if we are to change we need to act. I am a born again Christian who follows the example of Christ. Do not covet, steal, kill, hate, force your will and do to others as you would have to yourself. It's not hard and there is great peace in that.

ABOUT YOU

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2010 General Election, 2010 Republican Primary, 2012 General Election, 2012 Republican Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Republican Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Republican Primary

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Somewhat Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Radio interview with the Bob Jones show. Interview with Liberty Nation. YouTube videos, social media and speeches. 40+ years of living it.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

If you look at just my record and resume and compare it to all others in this race it becomes very apparent just how qualified I am as a public, (not party) servant. I (and my wife) are veterans, the only veteran in the race, served in N. Africa and Mid East. I volunteered as a child advocate, feeding and housing the poor and refugees from hurricanes, worked designing building bridges, roads and buildings of all types up to 2.56 acres, I teach high school and am a community leader on so many levels it is impossible to list as I have more than 38 years of community service. All this sounds great but it still does not make me qualified. What does is the fact that I know that I can not run your life or spend your money better than you. Unlike all the others I am not so arrogant or foolish to think so nor do I desire to do so. My goal is to restore our God given right to self governance as we care for self and others as we choose. In short I trust you.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am for both individual and economic liberty as I only ask for what I give. Liberty is the solution, not the problem.
