QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Neutral
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Though I am personally and morally against abortion, I believe that stricter abortion laws will not solve this problem. I favor a much easier path to adoption than the state of Texas currently allows.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.
Strongly Disagree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Disagree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Eliminate government constructed barriers to employment such as high employment taxes, unnecessary regulatory burdens, and unfair hurdles like occupational licensing.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Simply stated, government needs to get out of the way. As a Libertarian, I believe in free markets and free trade. That means recognizing that tariffs hurt the economy. Excessively high taxes and regulations hurt the economy. Artificial barriers to employment hurt the economy. If government would simply do away with these things, that would be like pouring rocket fuel on the economy.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Disagree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Government should neither provide, control, nor require health care. I do not believe that people have a right to be provided with healthcare at other peoples’ expense. I will advocate the phasing out of Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIPS programs. I support free market based healthcare systems and health insurance. I oppose a “single payer” concept and the federal legislation known as the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Obama Care). I oppose any and all forms of unearned tax credits, tax subsidies, and tax penalties that are directed under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or “Obama Care.” I wonder why the Republicans have not bothered to repeal Obamacare? Maybe they really like government run healthcare.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Disagree
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
Strongly Disagree
I support sanctuary cities.
Agree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Neutral
Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.
Neutral
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
Neutral
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Man's desire to be free and left alone. Government power restricts liberty at all levels, and like the founder's intent, government's power over individuals should be limited.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that government should make no laws regarding the practice of your religion. I believe that your business, your home, and your property belongs to you and should not be regulated by government. So long as you have not hurt another person, government should not get involved. That's the heart of Libertarianism.
ABOUT YOU
I voted in these primaries and general elections:
2010 General Election, 2012 General Election, 2014 General Election, 2016 General Election
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
No Answer
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I am neither conservative nor liberal, and I generally reject the idea that there are only 2 binary choices when it comes to describing one's political ideals. I seek the maximum protection of the rights of all people against any violation, be it by other people, other nations, or our own government. I oppose the initiation of coercion (force, threat of force, or fraud) as a means of achieving personal, political, or social goals. I am a Libertarian, that means I believe in limited government, free trade and free markets, a peaceful foreign policy. Conservatives claim to be in favor of limited government, but do nothing but spend taxpayer money like Democrats. Democrats claim to support civil rights, but step all over your rights every day no matter what office they hold. I am a Libertarian.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am bilingual and bi-cultural. With 30 years of business and law experience, I am uniquely qualified to lead Texas. I have a Bachelors of Law and a Masters in Administration from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. In my career, I have established, developed, and operated several companies including a hydroelectric plant in Belize and a law firm in Monterrey, Mexico. I have successfully partnered with many private and government entities including: legal, engineering, environmental, electric and water commissions, natural resource departments, road and bridge departments, and land departments as well as large municipalities and small villages. In the legal field, I have been successful in negotiating international grants, concessions, land leases, water rights, and contracts as well as litigating numerous cases.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
The government that is best is that which governs least. As Governor of Texas I will do the following: - Balanced Budget - Begin to pay off our $50 Billion in state debt - Eliminate barriers to employment in Texas - Stand up to the federal government - Support an individual's freedom to travel and work - Get government out of your life so that you will be free - Support your right to bear arms

I support the death penalty.
No Answer
