QUESTIONNAIRE*
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Neutral
iVoterGuide Notes:
"I myself would not encourage or attempt to persuade a woman to have an abortion. However, I would not attempt to create any legislation to overturn Roe v. Wade. There is a fine line between legislating morality and the issue of abortion totes that line. If we as a society desire to create any piece of legislation to do so, it must be enforceable and effective."
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Neutral
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I would never advocate for someone to have an abortion. However, I believe abortion should be decriminalized. Criminalizing this practice has proven to be ineffective and promotes unsafe medical practices.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Neutral
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Doane wants to create equitable taxes and reduce the size of the government. "Promoting federal spending as a means of economic growth would mean that there are regulations in place that would be prohibiting the desired growth of the economy. This is neither a sound nor effective means of creating a strong economy." He supports lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth. He opposes federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Based on the current position Social security is in, it cannot be guaranteed for future generations. The best that can be done is to fulfill the promises made to previous generations and wane away from the program.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Look at compartmentalizing departments and see which ones can be privatized (i.e. NASA). After that, if the social programs that have been implemented actually begin to help people get back on their feet, you will see a reduction in spending.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Military and Public Service programs. Technically taxpayers are paying for individuals who participate in those programs college education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Candidate’s position on this issue could not be determined by iVoterGuide research staff.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
That the government has no say in religious organizations conduct themselves and vice versa.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
iVoterGuide Notes:
He supports repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare").
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
We must allow for importing pharmaceuticals from other countries which have suitable standards of quality control. We need to change patent laws to allow for generic drugs to enter the market quicker. ?Let us open up more residencies at hospitals to increase the supply of medical doctors in our country.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
It cannot be eradicated. The US must promote self-defense as we have encouraged radical Islamic terrorism by having decades long war(s) in the Middle East.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Disagree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Neutral

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Neutral
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone/ no circumstances If people wish to reside in the U.S. they should be allowed to do so. They will have to go through UCIS; but once the vetting process has been conducted, if they do not pose a threat, they should be allowed to remain here.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Neutral
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. Responsibility must be promoted with gun owners and to know that if used irresponsibly they will be prosecuted for using the weapon for harm.
iVoterGuide Notes:
The 2nd Amendment exists for one reason; the government should NEVER have a monopoly on force. ? ? ? The US Senate must uphold the 2nd Amendment and refuse to vote for any legislation which limits an American’s right to self-defense.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Neutral
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Agree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Sponsor Term Limits, legalization of cannabis, and promote a tax credit for businesses to pay off student loans. I believe those will be the easiest to pass based on the direction voters are leaning towards.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. Promoting bigotry of any kind will only promote violence. Citizens hating each other based off a bias is not tolerated.
