Human nature is self interested. One needs to look no further for the answer than to the famous James Madison quote from Federalist Paper 51. It is the “if men were angels” ..."If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary."

Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University (double major of Journalism and Speech with a minor in Secondary Education). I've been on boards of numerous charities. I am the former State Representative of Concerned Women for America. I was a member of the MD House of Delegates from 1994-98, I am currently the State Senator representing District 34 and have been in that position since 1998.
16. What charitable, educational, religious, or political organizations have you been affiliated with as a member, contributor, or volunteer?
Member/contributor/volunteer at our church. We give to various missionaries, Birthright, Marriage Works and Wounded Warriors to name a few. There are others that I may have forgotten.

Former Governor of MD Bob Ehrlich, Congressman Andy Harris, former House of Delegates Minority Leader Ellen Sauerbrey...many other current elected officials. In previous elections I've been endorsed by the NRA, the Farm Bureau, FOP among other groups. Other endorsements haven't come out yet.
