QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I am a born-again Christian, Pastor of 37 years, and father of six wonderful children. Life begins at conception, created by God in a mother's womb.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

As a Christian, I believe only God has the right to set the life of an individual

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None, I know the argument for rape and have been asked it in regards to my own wife or daughters. My answer is it brings no healing to the victim to abort the child. What it takes is working through forgiveness for the rapist. Even when it's a choice between mom and child I believe in trying to save both. Abortion destroys many women. My second oldest sister had an abortion in her late teens and died in her late 60's still struggling with the guilt. The church needs to step up and help women facing abortion, and adoption needs to be a constant choice.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

We are told in Ecclesiastes 9:11 this: “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” I believe fair education should be available, including school choice. And I believe that neither race nor gender should play a part in the opportunities afforded. We want all to excel, but truth is that many won't try to do their best

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

Departments like the Federal Dept of Education along with several other agencies should be eliminated, social funding should have far better oversight, and the IRS would be a great place to review for waste. Our funds doled out internationally need to be reviewed and changed and I have held for years that the United Nations long ago wore out their welcome and should be sent elsewhere.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I would like to see a comparison done between the fair tax and the flat tax to see which is better and then the change away from the current IRS system of taxation.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

In my lifetime I have seen the loss of prayer, Bibles being removed or banned, over 60 million abortions, Christians losing jobs over praying on a ball field, Bakers, Florists, and Photographers taken to court for not violating their faith over gay-related situations, the legalization of same-sex marriages, and now COVID vaccination demands. And that is only a partial list.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

No, that is a violation of the First Amendment. Most are ill-informed about Thomas Jeffersons' note to the Danbury Baptist church. The First Amendment simply says there cannot be a national church like England had known prior to the Revolution. It also says no law can be made that deprives a person of the right to practice their faith. Any law that demands them to violate their faith is thus unconstitutional. I have been part of Pulpit Freedom Sunday mailing sermons to the IRS to change them.

iVoterGuide Notes:

After evaluations occurred, the candidate expressed that his preferred response to this question should be “Strongly Disagree “

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

A church isn't taxed because a lesser cannot tax a greater. But as a Pastor, I chose to preach on any topic out of Scripture that God gave me a message for. When a Pastor or a Christian cannot speak or even promote laws that conform with their faith they are being deprived of their right as an American. It should not be that all laws are made by those who have no belief in God. A law models the beliefs of the one who writes it. In my opening remarks on this, I talked about a lesser and a greater. A town can't tax a county, a county cant tax a state, a state cant tax the federal government, and no one should be able to tax God. Now in scripture, Jesus did mention to the individual rendering to God ( the tithe) what is Gods, and to Caesar that which is his, so citizens should pay just taxes that are fairly arrived at.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NONE, there are no circumstances. The health of an individual belongs to that individual.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C would be my choice, private companies will always do better than Government run. I believe that TORT reform is necessary in conjunction to cut down on the insane settlements that are handed out. I believe if the private sector worked together they could come up with a good private program.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. There are times when it is expedient that we help an ally, such as NATO nations, and Israel just to name two. But we really have meddled more than we should have. Libya might be just one example. Also in the current issue in Ukraine. That's a European problem and we should not be the chief source of funding.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

The situation there is far more complex than the average person realizes. From a Christian perspective, I believe the land that God gave to Abraham was promised to him by God. Hence any giving away of land flies in the face of that. Israel hasn't always been the kindest but at the same time they have from almost the start of their existence been the target of many nations hatred. Gen. 16 explains the Arab or Muslim hate for Israel. God told Abraham that every place he put his foot for be Israels

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

In honestly we are naive to the dangers. Again referring to scripture we are told at some point an army 200 million strong will come out of the east in an attack presumably towards the middle east. But even in the normal day-to-day view, they are stealing our intellectual property, abusing their own citizens, creating virus's such as COVID and currently are aligning with Russia. They have huge interests in Afghanistan and African nations.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Be far more vigilant in the United States. There are supposed terrorist training sites. America must accept that Islam teaches world domination and is in conflict with our US Constitution. I fear our leaders don't have the spine to do what must be. Terrorism both Islamic or other must be confronted and yes removed where it can be. It doesnt only pose a threat to the United States but to the whole world. I am not proposing some extreme treatment of Islamic people but I am saying we must uphold the Constitution.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The wall must be completed, and those who sneak in must be returned at the very least to Mexico where they would have entered from. If there is genuine proof of fear for their life then there is a process in place for that. Our House and Senate need to finally sit down and produce legislation to deal with the last 40 or so years. It is shameful that people who come legally spend years while others cross illegally and get all kinds of benefits from our tax dollars.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Just as stated, those who cant comply should be denied any funding or support.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

That is a process that needs to be established. Certainly, those who could be of value to our nation, but also those who are legitimately in danger in their own country, some type of lottery should be used, and people coming should be screened VERY carefully. They also should have sponsors here.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

There are two genders Male xy and female xx. Then there is gender dysphoria, a confusion. You wouldn't treat an anorexic by giving them more food and you shouldn't feed into an unscientific untruth. I have grown so tired of woke teaching that conflict with science, biology, and the truth.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

It was America that originally put an end to slavery. It was wrong but at that point in world history, it was the norm. As Christians, we stopped it. CRT is a Marxist ideology that includes an oppressor and an oppressed. Its standard to Marxist thinking. It is everything Martin Luther King wanted to avoid. CRT is demented teaching to heap guilt on white Americans and call for all kinds of unfair changes.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

On January 6, 1979, I asked Jesus Christ to be the Lord of my life. I became born-again. I attended Bible College, became a pastor, and pastored for 37 years. I believe the Bible is God's Word, it's infallible, and as the founders stated I believe all men are created equal, and our rights come from God, not man. The role of Government is to assure that God's principles are enforced, it's not to create a godless society. I attempt to do to my best to love others as I love myself. I believe one day Christ will return and judge the living and the dead. And that Heaven is a real place where God dwells and where those to accept Christ and live for him, will spend eternity

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

No, verification that the person is who the id says they are is essential to fair and legal elections.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

All must have official ID, go back to paper ballots and no machines hooked up to the internet. A strong purge of voter registration records to assure the deceased are removed and when a person moves they cant vote at two addresses. We truthfully need a moral-spiritual revival because evil men will always cheat.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

There are some things that can't be undone that way. You would have to go back to the earliest world conquests to justifiably do that. People who have never owned slaves and people who never themselves suffered slavery do NOT deserve to give or to get payback for that. What is needed is forgiveness and I believe the 600,000 who died in the Civil War to end slavery should be itself the payback.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

It shouldn't be. When I was a kid if you saw an interracial couple there was a danger, but mixed couples are so normal today that no one notices that. There is a fairness today and its only the race baiters that keep trying to stir up division and that for their own gain. Americans of all color should be proud of our ability to accomplish that.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Until someone can show me some grave danger to it I am all in support of it. The Biden administration has tried to force us to electric cars and that will be a disaster. Those companies that frack end up recovering the land in a beautiful way.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. America has done great things regarding the environment. Its nations like China, and India need to make adjustments. Until they do nothing changes.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

There was a day when I would have been considered just Conservative but things have moved so far left that now I would be called very conservative.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

My church, our local Republican Executive Committee, my rumble page, my Facebook page, my Twitter page.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Never

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I created and served the Spring Hill Fire Dept, and Hernando County Fire Rescue for 17 years, I was a member of the state of Florida ESF-8 Mental health emergency response team for 10+ years, I served as both a Pastor and the Principal at Gowanda Assembly of God and Gowanda Christian Academy a K-12 school. I founded the Niagara Frontier, Christian Athletic Association. I have been married 40 years to my college sweetheart, we have six wonderful kids, five are through college, the sixth in College. Two with Masters, one in law school. My wife homeschooled all of them. I am PTSD and CISM trained with over 100 classroom hours. I partook in all but the first year of Pulpit Freedom Sunday with the Alliance Defense Fund where we mailed sermons to the IRS that we preached and recorded that violated the Johnson Amendment. I wrote our class song, and also two songs. One about Sept.11 called your time, and one called sacred sacrifice about a local boy who was killed in Iraq. Most of all I love the Lord.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

Elsewise you will have no law enforcement personnel. If they act outside the law that is different. A law enforcement officer has to know he is free to perform his duty in a proper manner without living in fear of constant proecution/

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

While I don't disagree that mental health needs to be funded and existing, it should never be at the risk of defunding or decreasing funding to our law enforcement.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Violent felons, and those that are obviously mentally incapable.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Then car manufacturers would need to be guilty if someone nut runs a crowd over. Liquor manufacturers and cigarette companies the same and all would be wrong. The person who uses the gun illegally is the person that needs to be held accountable with the exception of if a person purposely illegally passes a gun along.
