Based on the woman's circumstances at that particular time in her life. Rape, incest, mother's health are huge factors in making this life changing decision. In no instance should minors be allowed to have an abortion without parental consent.

I believe a strong military is our best guarantee of peace. We need to support our troops and make sure they are well-equipped for all that they do at home and abroad.

I believe one's spiritual beliefs are their's and their's alone. I was raised as a Catholic, but find that I cannot support some of the ideas of the church.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
This is a tough question. I think we need to allow interstate purchasing of policies, which would lower premiums in a more competitive market. We also need to reign in prescription drug costs that also cause increased premiums.

I believe the recent tax cuts laid out in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was a start to bringing back jobs. The current unemployment rate is the lowest it has been in 49 years.

I think further streamlining of the code is necessary. It is too complex, with too many loopholes.

All my adult life I have held leadership roles in my community and at work. I believe in giving back to the community first and foremost. I've done that and I want to continue doing that on a larger platform. Working as a paralegal for over 30 years has solidified my belief in the legal system and have found areas that may need tweaking. We have that ability and we need to elect and support representatives that share our beliefs.

I believe in term limits for members of Congress. I think politicians should not be allowed to entrench themselves in Washington for decades because the current culture of career politicians violate the spirit of American democracy. I am a centrist. I believe in working across the aisle to achieve results for our citizens. Partisan politics is not getting us anywhere and it needs to stop.
