OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Disagree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should not be allowed. I would agree to exceptions (rape, incest, life of the mother) as part of a legislative compromise otherwise outlawing abortion. I would not allow elective abortion and I do not believe that we need to legislative within the confines of Roe v. Wade, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, etc., just because a narrow majority of the Supreme Court managed to legislate from the bench decades ago.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

There is a lot of waste, fraud, and abuse. There is more at the federal level than at the state level. This needs to be identified and eliminated.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

No Answer

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The First Amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." This is divided into the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause. The Establishment Clause says that you cannot have a government-sanctioned religion. The Government cannot legislate to either promote or inhibit religion. This does not mean that religious institutions cannot participate in generally applicable government programs. The Free Exercise clause means that government may not discriminate against you or force you to violate genuinely held religious beliefs nor prevent you from exercising your religion. The Free Exercise clause also protects you from forced speech, forced rendering of services or goods that violates your beliefs, and forced promoting of repugnant ideas.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The legislature has passed legislation to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse, promote competition, and allow innovative and cost saving innovations such as telemedicine. I have promoted these efforts.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Nobody is allowed to enter the United States except at a designated point of entry. Anybody caught violating this law should be summarily turned away or deported. Asylum is for persons who have been singled out by their government for persecution, not for persons who are generally dissatisfied with conditions in their country. Persons seeking asylum must do so in the first safe country, or at the United States embassy. Persons sneaking into the country and later claiming asylum only when caught should forfeit any claim to asylum, otherwise the system will be abused. No person should be allowed to show up unannounced at the border, without documents, and request adjudication, relief, or entry. More work visas should be issued for necessary jobs that go unfilled, subject to rigorous background checks, and strengthened penalties for overstay or abuse.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

No Answer

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in limited government, separation of powers, an independent judiciary that stays within its lane and does not legislate from the bench. I believe in restraint at home and abroad and that government should concentrate on core public goods like roads, military, courts, jails, police, fire fighters, and education, and leave other matters to the private sector or faith-based initiatives to the maximum extent possible. We are not God, and no official, elected or appointed, high or petty, should behave as if they are. We should follow God's law in our decisions in our public capacity.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My voting record, public speeches, and bill sponsorship speak for themselves.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been studying or practicing law for nearly two decades. I am the incumbent with a strong record of legislative and other accomplishments during my first term. I have a record of good bipartisanship without compromising any of my core beliefs. I have recently reviewed my campaign literature from last cycle and I kept all of my campaign promises.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I will follow the constitution and keep my campaign promises.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We have a good background check and licencing system in Florida. I would support tweaks to ensure that the system works even better.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

I will continue to fight for the rights of the unborn, including the pain capable and heartbeat bills. I will continue to fight for limited government, and will identify and combat waste, fraud, and abuse. I will ensure that we have adequate resources for our police, firefighters, courts, and roads, because these are core public goods that are necessary to protect us.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I wish that everybody would stop playing identity politics and focus on the serious health and economic issues that face our society.
