Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am Pro-Life as such I believe our policymakers should return to a deeper respect for foundational American principles by respecting the freedom of conscience of individuals, medical providers, and taxpayers, and ensuring the basic rights of liberty and life for everyone, including those yet to be born. That being said, a dire threat to the life of the mother.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
1. Expand international information sharing, specifically through the Passenger Name Record (PNR) program and the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) 2. Enhance domestic information sharing between federal agencies, state and local governments. 3. Improve visa security coordination between the Departments of State and Homeland Security by expanding the Visa Security Program and PATRIOT programs. 4. Support the Federal Flight Deck Officer program that allows trained pilots to carry firearms.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our forefathers had the foresight and wisdom to know that one person/group with ultimate power will lead back to tyranny and corruption.

Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I believe the market economy, allocating resources by the free play of supply and demand, is the single economic system compatible with the requirements of personal freedom and constitutional government. Therefore: * The private sector can be depended upon to make better economic decisions that the public sector 99% of the time. * Government serves the the governed best when it is limited. * Individuals need freedom to exercise responsibility * Good men and women produce a good society, not the reverse. * Peace is best protected through strength, economic as well as military * America should not hesitate to use it's power and influence to shape American interests and values in the world. * There can be no lasting liberty without virtue - public and private
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
1. Repeal Obamacare and undo its damage. 2. Promote a free market for health care by removing regulatory and policy obstacles that discourage choice and competition. 3. Encourage personal ownership of health care by reforming the tax treatment of health care. 4. Transform health care coverage by ensuring that every American can buy a private plan. 5. Modernize the Medicare program to meet current demographic, fiscal and structural challenges.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
We need to make changes in the following areas: 1. Federal Spending: * Cut spending and enforce fiscal controls, such as the Budget Control Act spending caps. * Reform the federal budget process to remove the bias toward higher spending and to take entitlements off of autopilot. 2. Tax Reform: * Make individual tax cuts permanent for all Americans * Fully repeal the death tax and the remaining state and local tax deduction. 3. Regulation * Require congressional approval of new major regulations promulgated by agencies. * Establish sunset dates for federal regulations 4. Financial Regulation * Eliminate the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) which enshrines the concept of "too big to fail". * Eliminate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) by fully repealing Dodd-Frank's Title X. 5. Trade * Update and modernize NAFTA, removing remaining barriers
What changes should be made to the tax code?
1. Lower Individual and Business Tax Rates: Tax reform must lower tax rates for businesses and individuals. Lower rates strengthen the economy by improving incentives to work, save and invest. 2. All Full Expensing: Full expensing would allow businesses to deduct all investment expenses from their taxable income immediately. This could grow the economy by more than 5% over 10 years. 3. Repeal the Estate and Gift Tax: Every dollar of an estate has either been previously taxed or will be taxed under some other provision of the tax code. The death tax always adds an extra layer of tax to a family's savings.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
We are currently in a time when the unemployment rate is at its lowest in decades. This is due to a strong economy led by lower taxes. This trend needs to continue.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Social Security's COLA(Cost of Living Adjustments) is based on an outdated measure of changes in the cost of living that fails to account for how people react to changes in prices. We should index Social Security's COLA to the chained CPI(Consumer Price Index), which acknowledges that people choose less expensive and different goods and services in response to changes in prices. This would more accurately protect the value of benefits against changes in the cost of living while improving Social Security's finances. Additonally, coupled with tax reform that phases out the payroll tax, a flat, anti-poverty benefit targeted at those who need it would limit Social Security's role to real insurance and ease the future tax burden on American workers. Lower payroll taxes will enable more Americans to accrue personal savings in private retirement accounts to complement Social Security's flat benefit and reduce Americans' reliance on government retirement.
