Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be allowed only to save the life of the woman, or if the pregnancy arises from incest or rape.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Reduce our presence and foot print in the Middle East from conventional troops. Allow surgical Special Forces engagements. Increase soft power, and covert missions.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

No Answer

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am Christian, being baptized in Israel in the Jordan river. I believe that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, was resurrected, and thereby offers salvation to all who will receive Him in faith.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Somewhat Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

A desire to preserve the political philosophy and rules of government articulated in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. A belief that it is imperative to preserve traditional morality, as it is articulated in the Bible, using cultural norms and the power of the state. An embrace of free-market capitalism, and a belief in the legitimacy of market outcomes. A belief that America is an exceptional nation, a shining city on a hill, whose rightful role is leader of the free world. A belief that America shouldn't intervene in the affairs of other nations except to defend ourselves from aggression and enforce contracts and treaties. The belief that taxes should be lower and government smaller.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I am a firm believer in capitalism and the free market. Sadly, due to greed in the healthcare industry, which includes healthcare insurance, health providers, and the pharmaceutical industry and FDA regulations a system has been developed to prevent the free market from working. We continue to experience higher costs in healthcare and prescription medicine with lower quality of care. How can the same pill cost 100 dollars in the United States and 2 dollars in Canada or Mexico? Of all the first world countries, the United States is the only country without some form of a single-payer system for universal healthcare. I believe that healthcare is a human right and should be guaranteed to all Americans regardless of wealth or income. I support future legislation to curb drug costs and tackle fraud in the healthcare industry.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Under the Trump Administration, the United States Government has done an excellent job taking steps to help the economy achieve the goals of growth, full employment, and price stability. In the United States, the government influences economic activity through two approaches: monetary policy and fiscal policy. Through monetary policy, the government exerts its power to regulate the money supply and level of interest rates. Through the economic system, it uses its power to tax and to spend. By reducing the tax burden on the citizens of the United States, it promotes a healthier economy.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

At this point, nothing. I’m as interested as the rest of the United States to see how the most recent tax code reforms will play out in our economy.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Monetary policy – cutting interest rates to boost Aggregate Demand Fiscal policy – cutting taxes to increase Aggregate Demand. Promote education and training to help reduce structural unemployment. Geographical subsidies to encourage firms to invest in depressed areas.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

There are a lot of options on the table, and the time to speak, and debate about those options is NOW. Congress needs to focus their attention to saving Social Security benefits at all costs. Saving Social Security benefits is a priority.
