I voted in these elections:

2010 General Election, 2010 Primary, 2012 General Election, 2012 Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Primary

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

First trimester. Later in cases where health of the mother are in jeopardy.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Continue pursuing terrorists abroad, maintain and act on watch lists domestically.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

British oppression, King George's various Acts against the colonies.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My values were established in part because of my formative spiritual beliefs in Christianity. I continue to value doing what is right according to conscience and social norms, but my spiritual faith has declined as my pursuit of scientific knowledge and understanding of nature has increased.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I don't feel my beliefs fall into any particular classification. I am moderate, but am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I am conservative in matters of immigration, law enforcement, and spending. I am liberal in matters of personal choice in society. I would consider myself socialist in the areas of health care and education (through high school).

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I support a single-payer system, or Medicare for all. If we were to push out insurance companies, establish tighter government control over pharmaceuticals, and create a fair system where all taxpayers contribute, and all citizens are covered, it would benefit our nation significantly. Nobody living in America in 2018 should be without health care, it's not right.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Regulating corporate influence in politics, promoting competition through incentivizing small business growth, and keeping prices fair throughout various industries.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Corporate tax breaks and loopholes should be eliminated. The tax code should be simple and based more on a percentage of income as opposed to earning brackets.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

This is a challenge as there are several factors that make unemployment a cyclical movement. There are always going to be industries facing challenges at various times, but one step would be to raise the minimum wage to a 2018 living wage. Another is to provide avenues for vocational and job training for those seeking employment, and a third is to reduce parts of our entitlement programs.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I like the idea of allowing individuals who have vested a certain value over years of work to allocate a portion of their funds to private investments to help facilitate stronger potential growth. Also, encouraging programs that help people create their own retirement savings accounts, and finally, distributing payments more based on need than equality. The last line of defense should be to raise the retirement age.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have attended a private, Christian school, a public high school, public University, private University. I've lived in urban, suburban, and rural areas of Washington (where I have resided for all my 40 years). I have worked in custodial, food service, retail, security, corporate, and education environments. I am a well-rounded and experienced person who can relate to the average voter. I think my beliefs mirror many out there; not Democrat or Republican, but passionate and flexible on individual issues.
