What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The best way to bring down unemployment is to create an environment where businesses can be successful. Jobs are created by businesses, not the government. By reducing regulation, lowering taxes and helping to train a skilled workforce we can keep good paying, family supporting jobs here in Wisconsin.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

As it relates to healthcare it is important to note that a one-size fits all solution does not work in a nation as large as the United States. To promote adequate, affordable and accessible healthcare coverage I believe the solution should come from our local communities, not Washington D.C. Sitting down with our local stakeholders would promote a true solution toward reducing the costs of healthcare, thus increasing affordability and access for all.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Our government needs to create an environment where businesses can be successful. That includes reducing the tax burden and cutting excessive regulation to ensure our job creating businesses can prosper. At the end of the day, I believe you do a better job of spending your hard-earned money than the government does.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

My background in Finance and Business Economics and conservative causes over the years has prepared me to step in to this role and responsibly recreate the State Treasurer. I want this office to once again respect taxpayers, provide more services to citizens and ensure that the state government is running effectively.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

My passion is for Wisconsin, just recently I was in Rhinelander where I proposed to my wonderful fiancée. I grew up in East Troy, where I developed a strong work ethic & learned about the value of a dollar. My first job was for Tractor Supply Company. With a passion for numbers, I took a position as a teller for a local community bank. I went to Carroll University, where I majored in Finance & Economics and had a minor in Accounting. Currently, I own my home in Oak Creek and, until recently, worked for U.S. Bank Fund Services as a Mutual Fund Administrator.
