Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe that life begins at conception and that the abortion of a baby is unconscionable. I am a proud and unapologetic pro-life candidate, and I'm proud to say that I am the only candidate in my race that has been endorsed by Florida Right to Life.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founders understood that while technology, culture, and social norms may change, human nature will never change; thus they constructed a system based on merit, individual liberty, private property, and checks and balances. I believe you can understand the entire spirt and plan of the Constitution in one sentence: the Tenth Amendment.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a lifelong Christian and currently attend Cape Christian located in Cape Coral, FL. During this campaign, I was criticized in the local newspaper for talking about my faith on the campaign trail. I published a response stating that I will not back down from speaking about my faith.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I have been a lifelong Republican and have been actively engaged in politics for almost 20 years, as a citizen, voter, volunteer, intern, campaign manager, and Congressional Staffer. All of this information is available via a quick Google Search. Furthermore, I have been publicly endorsed several conservative legislators and I am the only candidate in this race that has been endorsed by: FL Right to Life, National Rifle Association, Florida Chamber of Commerce, National Federation of Independent Businesses, Police Benevolent Association, Fraternal Order of Police, Associated Industries of Florida, and FL Association of Builders & Contractors.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
I am a free-market capitalist and believe that capitalism has produced the greatest standard of living ever enjoyed by any society in the history of the world: the United States of America. The best way to bring down unemployment is to allow the free market to work: lower taxes (both personal and corporate), eliminate job-killing regulations that are little more than revenue-extortion schemes, eliminate the governmental role in setting wage or price controls, and most importantly, we need to vastly restructure our welfare system, which currently works to disincentivize work, disincentivizes the perpetuation of the nuclear family, and disincentivizes personal responsibility.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
We need to get the government out of the health care industry: excessive control and regulation have created an artificial price escalation in health care. We need to encourage more initiatives that promote free-market competition, such as the ability of insurance companies to sell policies across state lines, the elimination of Certificate of Need programs here in the state of Florida, support for tele-medicine to serve rural populations, and more transparency in pricing models for prescription drugs.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government interference in the marketplace never results in boosting the economy; throughout the history of man, government attempts to manipulate the economy always result in less choice, less prosperity, and less freedom. The best thing the government can do is to stay out of the way and let the free market work to spur innovation. I will acknowledge that some minimum regulation is necessary to ensure public safety and to prevent monopolies, but the pervasive intrusion of government into every sphere of business has exceeded anything possibly envisioned by our Founding Fathers.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have spent twenty years in the world's premiere leadership academy: the United States Armed Forces. As a retired military officer, I have served as an enlisted man, junior officer, and JAG. This experience has left me with a strong commitment to public service. This is a commitment I have demonstrated both in and out of uniform. I have been a resident, property-owner, taxpayer, and voter in Lee County, FL, for almost 20 years. I am committed to protecting the Constitution and defending individual liberties, and I believe that the state legislature should stand as a bulwark against an increasingly intrusive federal government.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Question #4 asks about my views on the government's role in defining marriage and the use of taxpayer funds to support marriage. Marriage is historically a religious institution, and I think it should remain that way. I do not support government interference in a sphere that has been historically a purview of the church.
