QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape or incest, or if the doctor determines a life-threatening abnormal issue with the unborn child or mother.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
No one member of congress could do this--I would be but one vote of 435, what I would say is that SS should not be raided by Congress to redirect funds to pay for shortfalls due to massive spending increases. Other factors to consider are the number of retirees in relation to those who are in the workforce. Again, the inflation tax figures largely into why people are struggling to retire comfortably or to struggle to stretch the value of their money into the future as a result of a depreciating dollar. People also cannot live beyond their means, this requires a level of personal responsibility.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Overseas military spending--we can save hundreds of billions by reducing the over 900 bases in over 130 nations by adopting a non-interventionist foreign policy. Stop allowing government to create money from nothing allowing it to spend like drunken sailors on every social program or foolish idea it comes up with--it is our money. I would get government out of P3 deals, government involvement in business represents a softer form of fascism and we should reject that.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Never. We must rethink the purpose of education. Some may require apprenticeships or skills trade and not college. But to solve student debt we could fully adopt a result based system as opposed to feeding this failed enrollment system. Details are on my website.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
This is one of the most abused phrases in American history emanating from Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptist Association from January 1802. In his letter, Jefferson uses the phrase "separation between church and state" to assure the association there would be no establishment of a national religion by Congress. People who lust for the removal of religion completely from the public square have hijacked Jefferson’s phrase, to the point that many believe those five words are found in the Constitution--which is not true, and neither is this doctrine of a religion-free culture. The First Amendment guarantees each of us the free exercise of religion. And as part of that guarantee, the establishment clause says that the federal government can’t compel us to join a particular religious sect.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I promote the idea of a value-based model rather than enrollment-based. I also think to utilize collaborative efforts on one platform for general practitioners as well as specialty doctors to work in tandem is a much more effective approach as opposed to the current system. Choosing major coverage over extensive coverage could bring costs down, reducing cumbersome regulation could bring down costs which are passed onto the consumer well. Competition across state lines, and offering a menu style transparency of medical fees would help insurees to see what each cost is upfront before selecting services. The main issue is to get government out of the insurance business and to stabilize the value of money by eliminating the inflation tax which would also go a long way to cost savings in all sectors, including insurance.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Neutral
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Adopt a non-interventionist, Americans first foreign policy as well as to employ the Christian just war principle. The subject of "blowback" has been written about extensively by our own CIA (the unintended consequences of our own interventions overseas leading to the hatred towards our country). I would vote to not abuse our military by sending them into regime change wars or wars of aggression or to act as paid mercenaries. We should defend our borders and bring our war-weary military home.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Disagree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration is a privilege. Its criteria should be determined by the people through their legislature. People are not owed entrance--that being said when our nation's economy was stable immigration was not as prevalent of an issue, there was plenty of work to be done and a free flow of immigration was welcomed.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God's word, to love unconditionally. To do onto others as we would have them do to us. I believe in the power of prayer, and that there is a purpose for each of us.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
No Answer
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Labels box us into tribal corners. I am running on the republican ticket, I believe we are a Constitutional representative republic. My oath is to the rule of law, not the tyranny of the majority. The role of government is to apply the law equally to each individual and to defend their liberty. I believe our rights come from our humanity, based on the principles of natural law which is rooted in faith.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I do not pretend to have all the answers, and there is no ego to bruise with respect to my understanding of congress or our role. If I am shown to be wrong, I am willing to change my views. But I can never foresee being wrong about my primary objective to defend the liberty of the individual, to deliberate as a legislator and defend an equal application of the law.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Neutral
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
"Shall not be infringed" this is pretty clear to me.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Neutral
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Ending the inflation tax by restoring a biblical system of money and credit (in other words to end dishonest currency created from nothing. Eliminating the Federal Dept of Education--restoring power to the teachers and parents at a local level, teach the principles of personal finance, personal health and wellness, and civics. These areas would lessen the burden of the medical profession, increase a stable family, local economy, strengthen communities, and help create a thriving environment to serve as a foundation for our great nation to flourish. I would vote to adopt a non-interventionist foreign policy, no policing the world, no nation-building, and no regime change wars.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is just an ugly form of collectivism, much of this is perpetuated by poor government policies which sees a free individual only as a part of the social groups we each belong to. Such policies create division, which leads to animosity, this leads to hatred, and hate leads to violence. This unnatural view of individuals feeds insecurity and that is always a problem.
