Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion for the sake of the mother's health.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

The U.S. needs to use diplomatic measures to ensure countries and people who wish to harm us and our allies are not successful. When sanctions do not work, we must be prepared to use our military assets when our nation, and our citizens are threatened. We also must continue efforts to ensure terrorist are not allowed into our country.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our founding fathers understood a person with power and ill nature can corrupt an entire nation. Our government was uniquely crafted to limit and separate power in order to ensure liberty and freedom for all citizens of our great country.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an Orthodox Christian and believe strong family values help build and strengthen our homes and communities. I believe in teaching our children to have personal responsibility, a strong work ethic, and to value others. This is how we continue to succeed as a nation.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

To lower the cost of medical and prescription coverage we need to change the way the providers' bill and how the insurance companies approve for payment of medical cost. Currently, our systems do not encourage a free market system with the transparency of cost for procedures.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

In Congress I will work to create an environment which will create jobs by eliminating regulatory red tape and burdensome tax. I believe cutting business taxes and repatriating corporate earnings that are held offshore will revitalize the economy, and will bolster private sector employment. I will work diligently to remove added tax in healthcare and remove unnecessary reporting for small business offering healthcare.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Our nation’s tax code has been a disaster for years, and we are now beginning to see the transformation with the recent changes adopted by Congress last December. We need to continue that forward momentum toward smaller government; simpler, fairer taxation; and a system that leaves more money in the hands of the people that work so hard to earn and support themselves and their communities on a daily basis.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

As individual Americans, we are told there are two ways to ensure you are never unemployed. The first is to do what you love and the money will follow. If that doesn't work, the 2nd is to look at the work that is available and train in the industry where there is a lack of employees to do the work. American's need to return to the idea of personal responsibility. The government needs to get out of the way and reduce the red tape and tax for businesses and continue to spur the entrepreneurial spirit.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

If Congress refuses to act to guarantee Social Security benefits there will be no benefit for future generations. Many ideas have been suggested from slowing the growth of initial benefits for higher earners, adjust the retirement age for growing life expectancy, adopting a more accurate measure of inflation for cost-of-living adjustments, raising the payroll tax rate, or increasing the amount of income subject to the payroll tax. Both sides must come together to fix the issue of potential insolvency. Our Congress must act now. Kicking the can down the road is not the answer.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been a small business owner and job creator my whole adult life. The experience I have gained through working with business owners and their workers has prepared me to educate and negotiate for a stronger economy. I have also been a job creator in my own business helping employ people over the years and serve our community. Our legislators need to legislate and help move the ball forward in passing laws or removing legislation which is outdated or no longer serving Americans. I'm going to put Southeast Michigan residents first and represent "US" in Washington D.C.
