I voted in these primaries and general elections:

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the mothers life is without a doubt in jeopardy I feel an abortion can be considered but even then, only when a decision is made along with God. Life is Holy, pure and should be considered inviolable by man. I admit I have mixed feelings concerning pregnancy as a result of rape and as a human being can not fault a woman who makes the decision to abort a rape induced pregnancy but as a child of God I must respect the fact that God knows all life even before the womb...

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

As a Combat Veteran who has fought radical terrorists up front and personal I can say these two things: 1. As a nation among nations along with our allies we must prevent the migration of these people from their home regions to other lands. I cite the horrible results of refugees in Europe and the exponential rise in crime and especially crimes against women to back up this statement. 2. As a sovereign nation we must take care of our people while balancing foreign interests. We are deployed to 177 of the 196 countries around the world. We have done our part and I feel our Allies should be "Carrying more water" for a while so we as a nation can reset priorities, mitigate risks of infiltration, get our nation back on track with job and career's with benefits infrastructural building / refurbishing. We cannot eradicate the threat but we can reduce and contain their combat power, ability to conduct offensive operations and limit their maneuverability both in the physical world a

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

King George's actions motivated our founders to remove the yoke of oppression and declare independence from England and built clearly defined language that mitigated the risk of that oppression from ever occurring again here in America. Greed, lust for power and a pride cause disconnection from the people. Checks and balances, Legislative, Judicial and Executive powers and the separation of church and state were designed to provide the very best chance at pursuing life, liberty and happiness

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that God is omnipotent and omnipresent. God loves us all and gave us "Free Will" to choose. I believe he sent his son Jesus Christ to live among us, teach us and show us the way to happiness and salvation. I believe that He suffered a terrible and humiliating punishment that wasn't his to take but in so doing gave us opportunity that we can never fully comprehend. His examples of love, mentorship, care, humility, selfless sacrifice, integrity, personal courage, servitude, faith, hope and charity give me wisdom to choose hard rights over easy wrongs has been my source of strength to carry on and through obstacles and hardships in life, combat, marriage, and the every day struggles that come with them. As I said when I announced my candidacy, I am not a Saint, I'm a sinner saved by His Grace.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I don't have any publicly available information to provide for your validation since I have never been a politician thus I have no voting record. Like most conservative people I believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free and competitive markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a very strong national defense on land, sea, air and in the ever developing cyber-communications world. Government should be to provide people the freedom needed and opportunity to pursue our goals in life. I believe that Grassroots efforts should have a louder voice in solving problems especially at the community and regional level.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Work with the health insurance companies and over watch committees to create a fair environment and market place for people to obtain insurance and build legislation that encourages the companies to provide and the people to obtain insurance. Make insurance affordable for every income bracket that allows adequacy and availability of medical services especially in rural areas. Then work with Providers to accept types of insurance instead of shopping for Insurance names that provide better or less than better times of payment etc.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Infrastructure building can boost the economy RIGHT NOW. Additionally, the Government can learn from great mistakes like NAFTA and the shut down of Coal Production and work to restore those jobs especially in East Tennessee and other regions of Appalachia.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

With the major changes in the new 2018 Tax Code just having gone into effect until 2025 we will need to be remain vigilant of how this helps or hurts both the people and our economy. So I would say no changes at this time until enough data can be collected for review with our new code.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

This is targeted question with an asymmetrical answer. As a country their are 1.6 jobs available for every unemployed persons but numbers are deceiving. Geographical as well as cultural factors effect unemployment in East Tennessee where there are areas with families that are into their third or more generation of government dependency due to various reasons. Skilled laborers aren't readily available and / or credentialed. The potential work pool can't pass a drug test or has criminal convictions that prevent them from obtaining a quality job. Transportation isn't available and of course apathy is very prevalent. So the short answer is change the culture (easier said than done). The Long answer involves time, patience, change in the work pool and incentives for businesses willing to get into these areas.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Change the law concerning Social Security so that only a person and their current spouse or widow / widower (Not a previous spouse) can draw from those funds paid in by the primary person's account. Additionally prevent the government from ever taking from those funds to pay other debts to ensure the integrity of the money. Finally, only Registered United States Citizens should be allowed to draw payments.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Although educated I feel that post secondary education requirements are not a discriminator nor a requirement to represent people from a region. I feel that the "Education" lies with a fundamental understanding and working knowledge of the area that a U.S. Representative is responsible for and an understanding of the people he is elected to represent. Representative's are elected by the people, not above them. Therefore my primary credentials are having been born and raised in East Tennessee, served in our military for 26 years and served at the "Grass-roots" level for the last 5 years with charitable and faith based organizations to assist my neighbors and fellow man.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I'm a husband, a father of two, an animal lover, an advocate for human rights and a proud East Tennesseean that wants to continue to serve my home and country. For the good people of the 2nd District I can be that conduit in the House of Representatives that connects President Trump's "Make America Great Again" initiative to the Grassroots, faith-based and entrepreneurial energy that is right here in East Tennessee. For Veterans, Law Enforcement and Public Service, I can be a strong advocate for your rights, entitlements and benefits. For Active Duty personnel I can be your voice in the House. I have walked in your boots and carried your weapon. I have suffered in the misery of combat deployments and sacrificed the same time and holidays that you do. For the rural areas and impoverished people of East Tennessee, I understand your plight and want to help. For the entire 2nd District I can provide "Common Sense Resolution" to "Our" problems for I will be your servant.
