Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Did not answer

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Restrict immigration and trade with countries wherein radical Islam is practiced.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Absolute power corrupts...absolutely. Our Founders knew this and made provisions in the Constitution to address it. However, the Constitution is NEVER adhered to.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The "Golden Rule" sums up my beliefs and values succinctly.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

The Constitution is clear, the Government has little authority in dictating how people should live their lives in social matters. However, they've intruded into ALL aspects of social/personal matters. Marriage is one example. How on Earth can a Government charge a fee and issue a license to endorse ANY personal relationship and alter tax policy that affects different relationships...differently. Single or barren people should be penalized for their choice (or lack thereof)? "Elephant Man" should pay higher taxes in order to subsidize attractive couples (with children)? He isn't suffering enough?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Apply a true (not crony) Capitalist model. Cell phones (like quality healthcare) are a perfect example. They were, at one time very expensive, available to only to the very wealthy. But, because of competition, the choice and price has improved to the point that nearly every man, woman AND child has at least one.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Sound money, backed by gold. Eliminate ALL unConstitutional government agencies and ensure that barriers to entry in all business are kept low so that there will be more competition and eliminate the possibility of monopolies. NEVER allow the Federal Government to borrow money in times of an undeclared war.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Eliminate it. Return to the Constitutional size of Government and like Thomas Jefferson, fully fund the Federal Government with only tariffs that are equal to our trading partners. Since this will NEVER happen, the best that we can do is force all 536 "Elected Public Servants" in Washington D.C. to prepare their own taxes...annually. When these returns are audited and the results are made available for all to see, the tax code will be fixed...immediately.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

See answer to question 31

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Don't make it immediately available to everyone that sets foot in the Country. Secondly, don't spend it on other programs.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I've had to live on a limited income. I have had to make extremely difficult financial decisions that "Government Officials" don't feel it necessary to make. I have an engineering background. Things will work, or they won't. There is no room for wishful thinking in my decision process. As a disabled Veteran, I have first hand experience with failed Government programs and agencies. I've seen the waste and lack of interest in providing quality, efficient service. I have also experienced what it is like to have a so called "Representative" not perform his job of representing his constituents but to also be abusive to them.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I never had any political ambitions until I suffered the abuse from someone that was elected to perform a function in our Constitutional Republic. I saw a need, and as a Patriotic American, who has honorably served his Country in a war combat zone, I decided to step up and fill the vacuum created by an extremely arrogant career politician. I pledge to be someone that is accessible, respectful and humble. Someone that will first listen and then communicate effectively to my constituents my positions based upon THEIR input and wisdom. As a Republic is supposed to work. As a Disabled Veteran I receive my medical care from the Veterans Administration. If I'm elected, I will no longer be required to. However, I pledge to continue to do so. That way I can see for myself what is broken, what is working, how to fix it and if it is being fixed at all...for ALL Veterans.
