Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

There are no circumstances under which the intentional killing of an innocent, defenseless human being should be allowed.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

1. Enhance domestic and international information-sharing efforts. 2. Improve the prevention of terrorist travel. 3. Renew our commitment to Afghanistan and Middle East partners to prevent the creation of terrorist havens, and hold other countries accountable for their support of terrorists. 4. Create a lawful detainment framework for captured terrorists. 5. Address the threat posed by state-sponsored terrorism. [Policy recommendations from Heritage Foundation.]

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Sin

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe: There is a Living God who is the Creator, Lawgiver, Savior, and Judge of the universe. Sin is the transgression of His law. The whole of God's law is summed up in two commandments: 1) you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and 2) you shall love your neighbor as yourself. All the evils in the world are the result of sin. The penalty for sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. All who believe in Him and receive the gift of eternal life will love God and hate sin.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

1. Repeal Obamacare. 2. Encourage personal ownership of health care by reforming the tax treatment of health care. 3. Modernize the Medicare program to meet the demographic, fiscal, and structural challenges. 4. Transform health care coverage for low-income Americans by restoring Medicaid to a true safety net and a path out of poverty. 5. Promote a free market in health care by removing regulatory and policy obstacles that discourage choice and competition. [Policy recommendations from Heritage Foundation.]

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

1. Prevent future ineffective fiscal stimuluses. 2. Repeal regulations driving up prices. 3. Eliminate unnecessary licensing. 4. Advance free trade. 5. Repeal laws that give rise to economically harmful regulations. 6. Repeal Obamacare. 7. Repeal unwarranted provisions in the Dodd-Frank Act. 8. Repeal the job-killing Davis-Bacon Act. [Policy recommendations from Heritage Foundation.]

What changes should be made to the tax code?

1. Lower individual and business tax rates. 2. Establish the right tax base. 3. Eliminate the bias against saving and investment. 4. Eliminate tax preferences. 5. Simplify the tax system and make it more transparent so that taxpayers understand how much they pay to fund the federal government. [Policy recommendations from Heritage Foundation.] Changes like these have been implemented in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed by Congress in December 2017.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Foster economic conditions that provide businesses with greater incentives for investment.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Restore Social Security to its original purpose of poverty protection through an anti-poverty benefit. Congress should put Social Security benefits on a schedule to gradually arrive at a flat payment structure for eligible beneficiaries. This flat benefit payment should be sufficient to keep eligible seniors out of poverty throughout their retirement, and the benefit should be limited to those who need it. [Policy recommendation from Heritage Foundation.]

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I'm 57 years old. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and have lived in Virginia, Illinois, and California. My wife, Rodli, and I have been married for 36 years. We have six children and six grandchildren. I'm a veteran of the Navy and of the Army National Guard. My civilian work experience includes: warehouse worker, private security guard, public library assistant, delivery driver, postal service letter carrier, and bus driver. I have been a bus driver for 16 years and a California resident for 12 years. I have set the following goals to help me become better qualified to be a candidate for United States Senate: 1) Memorize the United States Constitution. 2) Follow the Congressional Record, especially the Senate Record. 3) Familiarize myself with the United States Senate Rules of Order. 4) Communicate effectively and respond compassionately to the needs and concerns of the people of California.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

The atrocity of abortion-on-demand, which is rightly called the slaughter of the innocents, must be brought to an end. A Constitutional amendment must be passed acknowledging that human life begins at conception, thus restoring the God-given right to life for every human being in our nation. I unashamedly state that if I am elected as a United States Senator for California, I will give this matter the highest priority, and encourage every other elected official to do the same until it comes to pass. Not being a one-issue candidate, however, I will also join every other elected official whose goals are to “promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense,” goals which I have quoted from the mission statement of the Heritage Foundation, with which I am in wholehearted agreement.
