QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

As a Christian, I believe we are all made in the image of God and that he knew everything about us before we were carefully stitched together in our mother's womb, but even non-believers should understand the simple biological fact that life begins at conception.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

One cannot say they believe that "life begins at conception" and then justify the destruction of embryos. It's intellectually disingenuous.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

There is no question for which the answer is to kill a child.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

Besides the immoral nature of the entre process, neither the U.S Constitution or the Texas State Constitution offers any authority to the federal or State governments to subsidize the murder of babies.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Without private property rights we are no more than subjects to the whims of the government elite. To be blunt, we have been nothing more than subjects for generations now.

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Strongly Disagree

Just as the framers of the Constitution believed, and the original ratifying States agreed, taxation should be uniform throughout the union. The key to this, as well as every other economic problem we face, is the federal government must spend less.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

This federal government spends over 7 trillion dollars, but only has a tax revenue of just over 5 trillion. The most illogical part if this insanity is that if you combined all defense, healthcare, agriculture, and social security spending, the total amount is less than 5 trillion. Overspending by this government is the single largest and most destructive problem we the people have.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. Increase deportations and place a 10 year moratorium on all immigration & visas. 2. Stop subsidizing of aliens, both illegal and legal. 2. Stop funding foreign countries with U.S. Citizen's tax dollars. 3. Dissolve any department or agency that is not authorized under the U.S. Constitution and that is already duplicated and managed in the individual States. Ex: Education, EPA, Labor, HUD, etc.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

No no, but hell no.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

"Separation of Church and State" does not exist. That notion came from a 20th century unelected well-connected judge by the name of Hugo Black who referenced a letter written in 1802 by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists which included the words "...building a wall of separation between Church & State". Needless to say, he used it completely out of context. Jefferson's idea of separation meant in terms of not allowing the government to interfere with the Church, not the other way around.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

My view is that (C) is the most wise answer in this day and time. In order to answer this correctly one must recognize that the U.S. Constitution offers no authority to the federal government to fund healthcare at any level, but also understand the reality of the situation, which is that after so many generations of government involvement, abruptly ending those aspects of government spending would do more harm than good.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Neutral

As long as it is involved in subsidizing healthcare, some type of general data associated with spending needs to be maintained, but to what level of detail should be of concern.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The proper answer is (C). George Washington's advice was sound, "Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government. But that jealousy, to be useful, must be impartial, else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

I have traded construction equipment internationally since the 90s and I have seen first hand the BRICS Countries creating trade agreements that are designed to weaken the already inflated US dollar. This subject leads us back to this government's poor monetary policy and addiction to ever-increasing debt and spending.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

It is in as much as they are an ally. The problem develops when the discussion involves the U.S. being 40 trillion dollars in debt, with no end in sight, and borrowing even more to subsidize the government of any other country, including the government of Israel.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Strongly Agree

I believe the time has come to look at this issue from a cultural standpoint. To truly protect future generations, it would be prudent to not only suspend issuance of all visa classifications, but to revoke existing visas, originating from countries that would do us harm or are culturally incompatible with the USA system of government. I would support increasing the current rate of deportations as well as placing a moratorium on all migration into the USA for a minimum of 10 years.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I would support a 10 year moratorium on all migration into the USA, and on the issuance of all Visas.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I support criminally charging elected officials who work against immigration laws and the best interests of U.S. Citizens.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

There's no logical reason for an agency of a few thousand people, who are controlled by 435 members of Congress, to manage the daily educational lives of over 55 million K-12 students spread across 50 supposedly "free and independent" States. It's insane that we allow this to happen. Look at it this way: would the people of Florence, Italy want a few people from Moscow, Russia dictating the educational needs of the children? Think about it. Florence is much closer to Moscow than Austin is to DC.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

There should be no foreign interests in our education system. There is no logic to this arrangement.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Every State should charge any and every adult involved with this insanity with child abuse.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

As a Christian, I believe in God' Devine design of marriage, but that view is also supported by two millennia of human understanding.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a child of the one true God, the father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who sent his only Son in human form to walk perfectly among His creation, to be crucified on the cross for our transgressions, and to be raised from the dead to provide His children a pathway to everlasting life. 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For our sake he made him to be sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." My values and principles, as well as my decisions, will always be founded in and influenced by my faith in God.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

In order to protect the integrity of the republican form of government we were gifted, each State should demand a legitimate form of identification, which should include a photo.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

This is a mental illness. We should not participate in normalizing the insanity. My answer requires no explanation.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I've been in the energy industry for 40 years. Until something is proven to be legitimately more reliable, it will remain coal and fossil.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I'm a Jeffersonian, which means I accept the Constitution as written, ratified, and amended. That quality makes me a "right-winger" to the modern Democrat, but it also makes me more "Republican" than any other candidate in my race. I have a broad range of life experiences to bring to the office, none the least of which is a deep historical knowledge of its authorities and limitations. If you want someone who knows the mechanisms available to affect positive change, I need your support.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely. When it comes to technology and the negative influence it can have on our children, parent's need all the help we can get. This also falls back to a cultural battle. We must protect our American culture from negative outside influences that tear at the fabric of our society and there's no higher responsibility than that of protecting children.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Beyond logical restrictions, such as not allowing children to purchase weapons, or those with known mental illnesses, or violent criminals, etc., very few restrictions are warranted. Also, just to be clear, these are State issues, meaning here in Texas they are best managed by the citizens of Texas, without the influence of the citizens of any other State. Californians and New Yorkers should have no say in how we protect the right to bear arms, and Texans should show them the same respect.
