QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Under the Law . . . . . . . . . the Law of our GOD. Thou Shalt Not Kill.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
There is no "separation of church and state" in our Constitution or Declaration of Independence......nor our Federalist Papers. There IS a clear intention to have no imposition of religion; I agree with this.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Spread liberty and freedom; help provide open and free markets for free people to prosper. 50% unemployment amongst men aged 18 to 35 in impoverished third world countries due to closed economic systems leads to youth and young adults with no great options at all. Additionally with 10% to 20% of men taking four wives in some societies there are not enough women for remaining men [simple math: 100 people half men & half women; 20% of men have 4 wives = 10x4=40 women married to just ten men = 10 women to marry 40 men = 30 very lonely men] . . . . . . . . . No Wife. No work. No family. No responsibilities. It is very bleak making radical religion appear a reasonable option to these disenfranchised folks.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
1. Force open all state markets for all health care providers and insurance providers [one company provides 80% +++ of all individual insurance policies in Alabama = something is wrong with that picture). 2. Compel all hospital providers that receive federal funds to publish all of their various pricing schemes for the most commonly provided services. 3. Allow prescription drug purchased from across the borders; provide some modicum of consumer assistance with a vetting process. 4. Emergency room service is the most costly possible service; utilization rates must be reduced with common sense referral to local 'walk-in/rapid service/urgent care' providers not directly hospital affiliated. 5. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure; we must teach our children better how to take care of themselves for the best/rest of their lives including healthy meals and healthy exercise habits.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Currently Social Security utilizes a federal wager deflator to keep purchasing power of payments even with inflation. We must install likewise a similar age deflator that recognizes the longer lives recipients now have compared to original actuarial lifespan estimates. The age deflator would be based on valid census bureau demographic data and apply to all system starting at age 18 immediately as soon as possible. Existing recipients and current payees would be exempted with a gradual roll out of 'in-betweeners.'
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
1. Over half the budget is taken up by the entitlements of Social Security and Medicare with a growing and ever-more-rapacious percent of total federal spending going into these two budget lines. The remaining budget is spread out over the vast federal bureaucracy. Military budgets are being 'beefed-up' after the Obama eight year decimation and should remain in current mode. This leaves large programs like food stamps and other categories. All of the rest can be reduced every year.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
None.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
1. Families should be allowed to immigrate and unite with current restrictions that prohibit ever using welfare, social services or other entitlements. 2. Highly qualified individuals with special skills. 3. Spouses of US Citizens legally married and embassy vetted.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. Highly visible and uniformly applied punishment for misuse of firearms.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Homelessness Legislation Healthcare Legislation Immigration Legislation Infrastructure Legislation
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a threat to common courtesy and civil discourse. Racism is just plain unkind. People treated without courtesy and unkindly are prone to acting out and even lashing out in ways that endanger the rest of society. Racism should be handled in the normal course of business and life using existing legal statutes that proscribe racist behavior.
