QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe life begins at conception, and the fundamental role of government is to protect innocent life. Because elective abortion intentionally ends a human life, I do not believe it is ever justified.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
A free market, not government mandates, is the best way to create opportunity and raise wages. When businesses are allowed to grow without excessive regulation, workers benefit through higher pay and more jobs.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Cut Red Tape and Outdated Regulations Identify and repeal unnecessary rules that drive up costs for taxpayers and businesses through the Texas DOGE and regulatory efficiency efforts. Modernize State Financial Systems Replace decades-old back-end systems to reduce administrative costs, improve accuracy, and deliver services more efficiently. End Discriminatory and Ineffective Programs Eliminate programs that prioritize ideology over results, such as DEI-based contracting, and refocus on merit,
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means the government may not establish a state church or interfere with religious practice. It does not mean faith should be excluded from public life. Religious liberty is a core American principle and must be protected. God is sovereign and government the separates itself from Him will always fail. Government that realize on Him is our only hope.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
D) Government-run healthcare has only proved to be more costly and inefficient. Decades of intervention, especially under Obamacare, have driven up costs and complexity. Taxpayers would be better served by reducing government involvement and restoring market competition.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Choose not to answer
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
I supported a ban on foreign ownership of Texas land to protect our national security, safeguard private property rights, and ensure our agricultural and strategic assets remain Texas-owned. As Comptroller, I will enforce the law aggressively and work with state leaders to close loopholes and keep foreign adversaries out of Texas.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Scripture is clear about the support that should be given to the Israeli people. Israel is our strongest and most reliable ally in the Middle East. I stand with Israel and the Jewish people and support their right to defend themselves against terrorism and hostile regimes.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Parents—not the government—know what’s best for their children. Education Freedom Accounts empower families to choose the learning environment that fits their child, while ensuring taxpayer dollars follow students, not systems. TEFA respects parental rights, expands opportunity, and strengthens accountability in education.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
As a faithful Christian, I’ve always believed that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman, and I’ve consistently supported policies that reflect those values while safeguarding religious liberty for all Texans. In the Legislature, I voted for the Pastor Protection Act (SB 2065) to ensure that churches and clergy cannot be forced to perform ceremonies that violate their faith. I also supported legislation to protect licensed professionals and faith-based organizations from bein
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My policy views are shaped by my personal Christian faith and experience starting and operating a small business. I’ve been a Christian my entire life – for me, my faith grounds my priorities and beliefs, reinforces the importance of integrity, stewardship, and treating people with respect. Ultimately, I serve in this office for the glory of God.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
An all-of-the-above approach. Texas should use every reliable, affordable energy source. If the government would stay out of the energy business with its subsidies, the market would determine the best and most cost effective form of energy.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I’m a small-government conservative, focused on its core functions. Government should protect freedom, enforce the rule of law, and create an environment where individuals, families, and businesses can thrive — not control them. I often say, government has no money: every dollar the government spends belongs to the taxpayers who earned it, and it’s our duty to treat those dollars with respect and excellent stewardship.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect public safety, uphold the rule of law, hold offenders accountable, and deliver justice for victims, while ensuring due process and equal treatment under the law.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. The Second Amendment protects a fundamental right to self-defense. Law-abiding gun owners are not the problem and are essential to personal and community safety. Good people with a gun are the best deterrent to bad people with guns and bad people don’t care what restrictions are place on guns.
