QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The Constitution provides the same protections for the unborn that it does for the born. Per the Constitution, none.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Social Security funds should not be compromised by government spending authorizations or borrowing. This must be stopped, and I will vote in favor of any bill supporting the protections of social security funds that were collected from taxpayers to protect them when they need it the most.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
This question requires a comprehensive review of current policy, the reasoning behind it being enacted, and conversations that I have not been provided access to. There are many ideas that I have about reductions in spending, but I would need to be a part of the conversations at the capitol to truly understand the impacts that would come as a result of either cutting spending, or leaving in place.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Never.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The Church is ruled by God Almighty, and the State is governed by the representatives duly elected by their people.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Healthcare has its challenges, but most of that stems from pricing limits that can be very expensive for some individuals, especially those with pre-existing conditions. Most states have programs to assist in these matters and should continue to address these concerns internally, while the federal government should ensure that there is access to competitive rates and care in our country while limiting the dependency on prescriptions or care from foreign countries.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
This question requires much more than a simple answer, and can not be answered properly without knowledge of, and or access to additional information from within the government.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those who pass the required entry process, vetting, and background checks; have no criminal record, and are willing to join a nation already formed, and that will not change to their way of doing things. Those seeking protection from dangers abroad, that meet the above requirements, along with abiding by the process' put in place by our government in such cases.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe without any reservation and undoubtedly in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
The Constitution outlines the position of the government, its branches, and the duties of those who represent in their elected positions. Many social issues that are presented in today's time are the responsibility of the States and not the federal government. We must be mindful of what government overreach is, and how it impacts our Constitutional rights if we fail to recognize the law of this land. I support the actions of the federal government as it pertains to the accessibility to govern in international matters that directly impact us or our allies, as long as the proper procedures set by our laws are followed. Immigration is also a federal issue that should be addressed at a national level. Most social issues should be dealt with by the states per their own Constitutions, and not by the federal government.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Vote Danny Ellyson for Congress on May 19th, 2020 in the 8th District of Georgia. God bless you all!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
There is no clause in the Constitution that provides such a need, so I stand firmly in line with the Constitutional rights of all of our citizens and our 2A rights.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Money out of politics. Infrastructure development and advancement. Technical trade partnerships between high schools and colleges, and the removal of the common core curriculum that hinders states and teachers from actually teaching applicable educational needs to our children and future generations.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. Any division created by man in an effort to minimize, reduce, or limit the rights of another in these United States based on race is a threat to our internal peace, thus creating a threat to domestic security.
