QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Though I believe life begins at conception and medications that abort a baby should be illegal, I believe this is a necessary and reasonable limitation that will help decrease the likelihood the mother will seek an abortion. I support any measure that moves us closer to protecting life, which begins at conception.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

None. We are God’s craftsmanship, all uniquely created by the Creator of this universe. Thus, all life, at all stages, from conception to natural death, should be respected, valued, and protected.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

Yes, the federal government has a duty to protect innocent lives. As a Congressman, I will support any legislation that helps move us closer to the goal of protecting life at conception.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Cut spending and balance the budget, lower taxes, cut regulations, reduce the federal bureaucracy, and close the border

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state means there cannot be state control over churches and vice versa. As a Christian nation, I believe believers make-up both the church and body of Christ, so it is impossible to separate my faith from my decisions and actions—especially in government.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I do not believe individuals should be required or forced to take vaccinations or any medication at the direction of their school, employer, or the government. People should make their own healthcare decisions.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

D

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Aside from my faith, I recognize that Israel is our best ally in the Middle East—especially in combatting terror, drug smuggling, and international financial crimes.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

The military has consistently fallen short of recruiting numbers, and retention efforts, due to many problems that stem from a “woke” ideology, such as prioritization of DEI policies over battle readiness. Additionally, there are social problems, like the increase of incarcerated young Americans and those who use recreational drugs—both of which can disqualify them from military service. While there are some actions the federal government can take, this is a spiritual matter well.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The border invasion undermines national security, public safety, and our sovereignty. We must lock down the border, finish building President Trump’s border wall, and support public safety officials as they enforce the rule of law.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The US should first stop the border invasion and then move to a merit based system, prioritizing the need of the country and skills required to advance American interests.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

To help students realize their full, God-given potential, we must enhance school choice opportunities throughout the country.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Our schools are for education – not indoctrination. We must eliminate CRT from every curriculum, empower parents to review what their children are learning and save girls’ sports from the woke left.

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian that believes God sent his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to save us from our sins, and I am a member of Crossroads Church in Sharpsburg. As a Christian, I believe we must protect God’s design, support the nuclear family, defend the unborn, expand Second Amendment protections, safeguard religious liberty, and acknowledge that our rights come from our Creator – not the government.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support photo ID laws, and after the 2020 election, I was the only state legislator to sue to state for election integrity and transparency purposes.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

We must eliminate CRT from every curriculum.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

As a state legislator, I introduced the Save Girls Sports Act, which has now passed in over 20 states. This law protects our daughters as well as the integrity of women and girl’s sports.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Oil and liquid natural gases

iVoterGuide Notes:

STAFF NOTE: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been: NUCLEAR ENERGY.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The government should exist to protect and serve the people and their interests, while upholding, preserving and protecting our God-given rights and liberties.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

I want to fund the police and provide the resources and support they need to do their jobs effectively.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Our right to keep and bear arms should not be undermined, compromised, nor taken for granted. We must stand firm against the gun grabbers to reject Assault Weapons Bans, Red Flag Laws, and any regulation, rule, or policy that makes it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to exercise their God-given rights.
