Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
We have a contradict in our law that states if a woman is killed on her way to an abortion clinic, the person killing her can be charged with double homicide, but she is allowed to take the life of the child. I believe this contradict needs corrected. My personal feeling is life begins at conception. I personally think we need to take personal responsibility for our actions. Should a woman find herself pregnant and not desire the child, there are thousands of Americans who are forced to go oversees to adopt. The only time I believe abortion should be an option is when a woman is raped or her life is in danger.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The strength of the U.S. Constitution is "We the People". We need to ensure the nature of mankind is held by the people and we must ensure separate and limited powers remain. We have been slowly losing our individuals rights and continue to do so because of the overreaching hand of government. Our Founding Fathers warned us of this and it is my hope we will learn to return to our Christian roots because our government goes too far and we lose what makes America great!
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. I have devoted my life it Jesus Christ and put God first. My values follow the Christian values with God's stands as my measure. I fall woefully short of that standard on a very regular basis, but I know that each failure is forgiven because of my devotion to Jesus Christ, attendance at The Bible Chapel and reading of scripture daily.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I regularly attend The Bible Chapel, participate in a weekly bible study and Men's Group and attend religious retreats when possible.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
I am a laissez-faire Republican who believes the government needs to keep their hands off of business and allow the free market to take care of itself. It is terrible that Pennsylvania currently ranks in the bottom five states in the country for income growth, population growth and unemployment, but ranks in the top five for largest legislatures, least fiscally responsible and highest taxes. We have had our priorities in the wrong order. It is unacceptable that Pennsylvania's unemployment rate is consistently one percent higher than the national average. Rather than taxing our companies to death, we need to start creating an environment for businesses to want to do business in Pennsylvania.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Again, creating an environment in Pennsylvania that will increase our employment and business atmosphere will allow the free market to develop appropriate healthcare for all.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The main role of the government should be boosting the economy. The government should be doing all it can to ensure we all have jobs and adequate pay.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have lived my life for this moment. Throughout my childhood, I was fascinated with the Reagan administration, so I devoted my education and life to working towards the opportunity to become a State Representative. In high school, I completed an internship with the Chief Judge of Westmoreland County and worked a summer for the Register of Wills in Fayette County. During college, I had an internship with the Pittsburgh City Council and majored in Legal Studies to understand the legal structure of our country. I continued my development by attending Duquesne University, working on a Masters in American History with an emphasis on American Democracy and the constitution.
