Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

In cases of rape, incest or when the life of the mother is threatened.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

One key component would be to stop micro-managing the war from Washington. The President and the rest of our civilian leadership must establish the overall strategic goals and results relative to ISIS. But then they need to allow the U.S. military the freedom to determine the tactics and rules of engagement necessary to achieve the desired outcome.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The framers recognized both human dignity (we are created in God’s image) and human depravity (we are sinful individuals). Because both grace and sin operate in government, they used biblical realism to construct a limited government that functioned through a series of checks and balances. This included separating various institutional power structures such as the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the federal government.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ with all my heart soul and mind. Through that I have forgiveness of sins and the assurance of life ever after.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would do the following: 1. End the mandate specifying what must be provided in a health insurance plan. 2. Allow for the purchase of plans across state line. 3. Expand Health Savings accounts. 4. Limit attorney's fees in medical liability cases. 5. Promote insurance that is not tied to a job but that is portable and provides for catastrophic illnesses which can also cover per-existing conditions.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Reduce unnecessary and burdensome regulations and ensure that a level playing field is maintained through uniform application of the rule of law

What changes should be made to the tax code?

The tax code should be made much simpler with lower rates and fewer brackets coupled with the elimination of deductions used by special interests.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Focus on growing the economy in the U.S.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Balance the federal budget so that Social Security funds are not used to finance the deficit that the U.S. government has every year.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have almost 40 years of experience as a successful private sector businessman I also have public sector experience from my time an elected County Commissioner. Through out my career, I’ve balanced budgets, met payrolls, cleaned up messes, analyzed problems, developed solutions and then worked to get those solutions successfully implemented. I would bring those same skills along with a different perspective to Washington.
