I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2010 General Election, 2010 Republican Primary, 2012 General Election, 2012 Republican Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Republican Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Republican Primary

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only to save a mother's life.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Maintain a strong military. Build the wall and reinforce U.S. border security to prevent terrorists from entering. Attack terrorists where they live if possible. Make sure Iran does not achieve nuclear capability. Support Israel's right of self-defense. including the prevention of Hezbollah bases in Syria.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Sin. Power is addictive. The founders wisely recognized the danger of a strong centralized government, and that a strong central government would soon seek to control its people.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Visit ShoemakerForCongress.com, as well as my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. I am for the unborn, traditional marriage between one man and one woman, reducing the national debt and a balanced budget amendment, and reducing foreign aid. I favor limiting our contributions to the United Nations to humanitarian operations only. Israel must be supported and defended. University faculty positions should be balanced ideologically. The Second Amendment should be upheld. I am against abortion, gay marriage, gender identity bathrooms, overspending, gun control, giving money to countries that hate us, and big governemnt.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I support marketplace solutions rather than government mandates. The ability to sell insurance across state lines will invite competition.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Reduce taxes and regulation. Recruit new businesses and provide a favorable tax and regulatory environment.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Reduce taxes and regulation. I favor a flat 11% individual tax rate. I favor incrementally reducing the corporate rate to 15%

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Create jobs. Limit the number of weeks on unemployment, and require a work component to the unemployment payments.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The Social Security system has been mishandled for years. The trust fund is really not there. We simply must guarantee social security will be there for anyone over 50. Any adjustments must allow time for recipients to adjust. However simple math highlights the need for more money. This is where you can "draw a straight line" between morality and economics. The U.S. has aborted approximately 1 million babies per year, many of those babies would be payers into the system.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Christian Conservative Small business owner White & blue collar job history Unafraid to speak out on issues of immorality (most all Republican candidates will talk about their pro-life stances, but they are silent on "gay rights" and related issues.)

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

The boundaries upon which the United States of America were founded are being broken each day: 1) moral boundaries, 2) political boundaries, 3) legal boundaries, and 4) geographic boundaries. 1) The greatest moral boundary of life is crossed by abortion. Additionally, the radical homosexual agenda has taken hold without much opposition from politicians. 2) Political boundaries are crossed by outright lies by politicians and media alike, so much so that truth has become a subjective concept. 3) Legal boundaries have been crossed by the Obama administration, with the very "rule of law" itself being ignored. The result is an overall mistrust of all government institutions. 4) We must build the wall to protect our geographic boundaries. Currently, we have 12 million illegal aliens in our country, with an additional 30 million here on VISA programs. We must stop ALL immigration for a period of five years to allow for assimilation. Additionally, anyone here illegally must go!
