Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I don't believe abortion should be allowed under any circumstances. I want to help women who are victimized through support organizations to carry the child to birth.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The inalienable right to be free. We were all born to be free.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a person of deep faith who prays and strives to practice my love for the Lord Jesus on a daily basis with one goal...to know, love and serve God by serving HIS people. I hope my actions and not just my words reflect my Christian faith and values. My campaign motto reflects my values: Faith, Family and Freedom.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Marysville City Council Meeting Minutes

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Attract jobs and train the workforce. We need to collaboratively work to get all physically able into the workforce. Additionally, fighting the drug epidemic has to be a priority.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

This is a tough question and one that needs tackling. A big step toward making sure healthcare is adequate, affordable and accessible for all is to help get all able bodied individuals working in steady employment where employers contribute on behalf of their employees. Additionally, earned wages enable individuals to pay for their own healthcare. I also believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle to limit the demand for healthcare. There are no easy solutions to the challenges of healthcare coverage and I am open to listening and learning from others to get meaningful results.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Economic Development is the strongest way to keep bring jobs and to create a stable revenue source. Government should support economic development and reduce taxes.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am in my 9th year serving as a City Councilwoman and I have lived within my district for almost 20 years where I have listened to and have sought to address the concerns of those I represent. I've served in the military, I've served my family and I've served my community. So much of my experience is learning to listen to others, value the input of others and to work hard to get results. That kind of leadership is what I believe we need to have at the Statehouse.
