Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe abortion should be allowed only in circumstances where the mother's life is at risk. We need to defend and protect life under all other circumstances because every life has value and every life is worth fighting for.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founding Fathers recognized that mankind is inherently sinful, and therefore needs accountability in order to create a trustworthy system of government. Our democracy erodes when mankind loses its sense of morality and neglects transparency.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian who believes that we are created in God's image, are separated from God by sin, and can be restored through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The power of Christ resides in us the moment we say yes to Him and He uses us to restore the world to Him and His kingdom.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I worked for Congressman Jim Jordan in Washington D.C. for almost five years. Congressman Jordan has been frequently recognized as one of the most conservative Members of Congress. I worked on issues ranging from agriculture to education to healthcare. In every part of my work it was my responsibility to stand up and defend our conservative values and make recommendations based on conservative principles. I am also a member of Ohio Right to Life, Buckeye Firearms Association, and the National Rifle Association, which are all dedicated to advancing conservative values across the state and nation.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to reduce barriers for business owners to enter the marketplace and reduce government incentives for able-bodied workers to stay on assistance rather than entering the workforce. Businesses should never compete with government for able-bodied workers. We need to reduce dependence on government assistance by establishing work requirements for able-bodied individuals and increase incentives for people to go to work.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Government interference in the healthcare system does not promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable, and accessible for all. A free market system that emphasizes the patient-doctor relationship and gives families and individuals freedom and autonomy over their healthcare decisions is the best way to ensure a strong healthcare system.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government should reduce barriers to entry for business owners by cutting taxes and reducing regulations. The less government is involved in the marketplace, the more power consumers and business owners have to develop a flourishing economy.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I worked for one of the most conservative Members of Congress during a time when we had a very liberal President. I learned how to stand up and defend our conservative values in an extremely hostile environment. I have a deep understanding of how the legislative process works and what it takes to move legislation across the finish line. I've sat across from the U.S. House Majority Leader to discuss why a certain bill should come up for a vote, I've sat at the negotiating table with Members of Congress and organizations to figure out what pieces of a bill should stay and go, and I've worked with other Members to amend legislation to move it in a more conservative direction. I look forward to using my experiences to fight for our conservative values in the Ohio General Assembly.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment fiscal conservative who believes that government works best when it trusts the power of people and communities to create opportunities, stand up for each other, and look out for each other. From growing up on my family's farm and attending a rural public school, to working in Washington and now working in the non-profit sector, I've seen this confirmed at every stage of my life. My goal as State Representative is to get the government out of your way so that you can do what you do best. Your voice, your values, and your experiences are my absolute priority.
