Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion allowed only in case of rape, incest, or mother's life is in danger.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Eliminate the strongholds of Islamic leaders where known; educate Islamic citizens to prevent from being radicalized.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

After being suppressed by the powers of the Crown, America's founders wanted a 'do-over' and attempted to write the Constitution to get away from the suppression powers of the monarch and give as much power as possible to the citizens.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and have been all my life, baptized in the Christian faith. Attending church all my life (even through my 'college radical' years). Very active in my Christian faith because I get so much reward from it. I believe in the Holy Trinity. I am not a 'literalist' when it comes to the Bible, but I believe it is a Holy book. My values are pretty simple and based on the Golden Rule. If we all did unto others as we would like them to treat us, the world would be a much better place.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

If I would have to describe myself, I would say my fiscal views are conservative, and my social beliefs are moderate.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Healthcare debate has raged for years. I would replace or modify the ACA with patient centered solutions such as portable insurance from state to state and job to job; promotion of Health Savings accounts; tort reform; and allow children to remain on policy thru age 26.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Less government regulation. Get the government out of the daily lives of our citizens. Listen to the small businesses and try to ease their problems. That is where the job growth will come from.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Promote and sell the Tax act of 2017

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Encourage job growth in small businesses.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Quit borrowing from the SSI fund, and tweak as needed. Increase maximum allowable tax paid in from workers wages and companies portion. The wealthy need to pay more of their share. Others will need this insurance more vitally in retirement than the wealthy, i.e. corporate officers, etc. (provided the wealthy are smart and have made good investments).

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Degrees in Business and accounting. Have worked with statistics and budgets all my life and know the difference between profit and loss and a growing debt (which is bad). I have had to analyze cost overruns, and try to hold projects within budget. Congress needs more people to ask the hard fiscal questions- Where is the money coming from to pay for this? And are their other sources of revenue that are not being tapped. Is there waste in government? Every dollar of waste saved can be put to better use on a poverty program, infrastructure program, or the many programs that citizens call for.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

This is my first run at elected office. I filed my petitions because I believe that voters need a choice at the polling booth. Plus, I wanted to do my civic duty and feel that I can ask the hard fiscal questions and hold people to their promises.
