OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Although Lord Acton's famous quote "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" came after the founders the theme was already emblazoned in their hearts and minds. They were Christians not deists and our tri-cameral form of government found in the Constitution could be traced back to scriptures such as Isaiah 33:22 the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king.

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Repealing Obamacare because it is unconstitutional and a job killer. Article 1 Section 7 states all revenue bills must originate in the House and Harry Reid plucked a VA Housing Bill and stripped every word out of it to craft the 2600 page Affordable Care Act which contains 20 taxes. Hardening our electrical grid. As a member of the EMP Coalition I advocate for legislation that will creates standards protecting our fragile grid. Terrorists attempted to take down the substation outside Silicon Valley last year and a rogue nation could take down our grid with 1 high altitude nuclear explosion off our coasts. We also are very vulnerable to Carrington Level solar storms one of which we missed only by 7 days of our earth's rotation around the sun in the summer of 2012. Stopping Obama's war on fossil fuels such as the carbon capture sequestration regs leading to the closing down of 6 coal fired plants in my state. DOE estimates $80 increases per month for residential customers.

16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

I support Reagan's exception when the life of the mother is in jeopardy.

17. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters (We The People), Congress, Supreme Court

18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As an officer and a member of the Gideons we strive to live by our 7 spiritual objectives which are to be men and women: of the Book, of faith, who witness, who give, of prayer, of a separated walk and of compassionate heart. My Christian faith is based on the Bible and I strive to be lead by the Holy Spirit in my daily walk the Lord.
