Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be allowed up to the viability of the fetus, and when the health of the mother is at risk.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Some people are inclined to control and exert power and influence over their fellow citizens. This inclination interferes with our natural rights to life, liberty and happiness. The separation of powers in the Constitution is intended to limit government's interference with our rights.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was born and raised a Catholic. My parents and education taught me a great respect for the value and importance of each individual. They instilled in me the belief that we, as individuals, should help our brothers and sisters.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
No Answer
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My "No Answer" to Question #28 is due to its request for a single response to a wide range of issues that require a wide range of responses. Economic - I am fiscally very conservative. I believe in free markets, removal of government impediments to legitimate business transactions, and the end to crony capitalism. Social - I am very liberal on social matters. From a libertarian perspective, individuals should be free to live their lives as they see fit, as long as they do not initiate force against others or their property. Foreign Policy - I believe that we should have a strong military for DEFENSE of the country. We should not be the World's police force. We should pursue peace at every opportunity. Immigration - We should simplify legal immigration and provide a straightforward path to citizenship.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to grow the economy. This growth can be accomplished by significantly reducing corporate taxes, encouraging capital investment and removing burdensome and unnecessary regulations.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I think that the best way to achieve affordable, accessible, high quality heathcare is by removing government interference and enabling free markets. I believe that each person has the right to make their own medical decisions. I support removing government meddling from healthcare. I think this free market approach and tort reform are the best ways to improve quality of healthcare, increase access to healthcare, and decrease prices of healthcare in our country.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The role the government should play in boosting the economy is to get out of the way of free markets (eliminate/reduce taxes, tariffs, crony capitalism).
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am an Accountant/Auditor by profession. I will bring the independence and objectivity from my professional experience to the office of Auditor of State. I am a CPA and a Certified Internal Auditor (inactive). I am retired from Cincinnati Bell, where I had been Vice President of Accounting and Vice President of Internal Audit. After retiring from Cincinnati Bell, I became the Director of Grant Accounting for The Health Collaborative, a non-profit in Cincinnati in the healthcare field.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am the only candidate for Ohio Auditor of State with professional experience in Accounting and Auditing. My opponents include a career politician and a lawyer with two terms of Congressional experience. I am independent of the conflicts of interest that arise when large donors and political party positions potentially influence the decisions of the Auditor of State, the constitutional officer responsible for ensuring fiscal and operational integrity of State entities.
