Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
For me, abortion is permissible if the mother's life is threatened, if the child would be born with a debilitating and permanent disability or birth defect, or if the child would not survive to term anyway.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The hearts of men are poisoned with greed & a lust for power that often results in tyranny. The founders were well aware of this, having experienced it first hand in the form of the British Empire. The founders were also quite knowledgeable on the works of the great Greek philosophers like Socrates, Plato, & Aristotle, as well as their more contemporary philosophers like Locke, Hobbes, Montesquieu, & Rousseau. They knew, if unchecked, the US would be as tyrannical as the one they fought against.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs are between me and my god. As for spiritual values, I would argue that we were all created with inalienable rights, to life, to liberty, and to the pursuit of happiness, but also to the freedom of speech and to the right of self-defense, codified in our First and Second Amendment to the Constitution.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Unfortunately I don't believe that there is any publicly available information to validate my answer to the previous question. Most newspapers I've spoken to refuse to publish my information, and I'm not really the kind of guy to post politics on Facebook nor elsewhere online. If someone were curious about any position not included in this survey, they could reach out to me in person, on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, or via my email: idealfor43@gmail.com
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Small business is the engine that drives our economy. By lowering the burdens and barriers for those with small businesses, or those who want to start a small business, these small businesses can create jobs. This works with larger businesses also! By removing disincentives, companies bring their jobs back to the USA.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The best way to promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable, and accessible for all is to open up the free market! Even prior to the so-called Affordable Healthcare Act, there were still barriers in place stifling competition, resulting in higher prices, inadequate coverage, and inaccessibility for many.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
I kind of hit on this in my answer about lowering unemployment, but to reiterate: the government's role in boosting the economy should only be in removing disincentives for businesses, allowing them to grow in the free market.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have known for over a decade that my life was meant for public service. Because of this, I applied myself to the study of Political Science so that I can better serve my community and my state with the directly applicable knowledge I have gained from it.
