Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
They should only be allowed for the life of the mother, rape and incest.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
In order to keep America safe, the United States needs effective intelligence and a strong military to fight terrorism around the world.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
As James Madison wrote, “men are not angels.” There is an inherent desire for power and control in mankind. The separation of powers is necessary to ensure a balanced, representative, and democratic republic in which no branch of government rules unchecked.

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Provide more flexibility in health benefit plans and expand the availability of health savings accounts. In addition, I would like to create transparency of health services and prescription costs.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government’s role should be minimal, taxes should be limited, and regulations should not impede on success.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
I support cutting taxes and promoting fiscal responsibility in government. I believe the positive results and economic growth we’re seeing from the recent cuts is reason for us to bring this issue up again next year.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Implement polices that encourage education and training, as well as business growth.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
A good starting point is to make certain that Social Security funds are not diverted for other purposes. Adequate management and transparence of the funds are also needed.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I’m a nationally-recognized lawyer with a 30+ year career in healthcare law, and most recently served as Kentucky's Secretary for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. I also served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law, and chaired the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association. Given the healthcare issues still facing our country, my experience in Medicare/Medicaid mediations and in conducting other healthcare-related disputes is particularly relevant. I have published and lectured on a great number of health law topics, particularly on the Affordable Care Act and the privacy and security of health information. I have also delivered countless national and international presentations on health care and have served as a contributing author for resources on health care law and government regulation.
