OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

This isn't a topic that should be left for slogans. In order to talk about abortion, we have to first understand, to its entirety, the idea of individual rights. Rights are for volitional sentient beings, humans. Rights protect individuals from the actions of society. Why humans and not other animals? Humans have the ability to reason, which is what makes us volitional sentient beings. Because we can choose our actions, sometimes those choices can prevent other individuals from making choices, which is where rights come in to protect individuals from those choices. Reason is an understanding of concepts derived from the interpretations of the perceptions of our senses. Until the process of birth, humans live in a muted state where the process of interpretation isn't possible. Only at birth, during a process of sensory overload, can reason begin developing. Humans become individuals with rights during the process of birth. Abortion should be legal until the process of birth

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Neutral

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Cut regulations. Cut taxes. Reduce Government spending. Let the free market provide answers instead of the forceful hand of the government.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

It should only act properly by retaliating against criminals that infringe upon the rights of the citizens of its nation. The only proper functions of government would be the military, police, and courts. Military to protect us from foreign invaders. Police to protect us from domestic criminals. And the courts to settle disputed between citizens. The most prosperous society is one that is free to produce value, not one that is held back by an inefficient regulatory system enforced by an oversized government.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Neutral

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The proper role of government is to retaliate against criminals that infringe upon the rights of the citizens of its nation. It is not the job of the government to provide any products or services beyond a retaliatory use of force. A free market approach is also the most effective way to provide any product or service. Through competition between businesses trying to make a profit, they will have to provide a better quality product at a lower price in order to attract customers to use them instead of their competition. When government is involved, there are too many inefficiencies, and we are left with a system that allows for a hospital to charge 220 dollars for a roll of toilet paper and 35 dollars for a single bandaid. Privatize everything and we will have more prosperity.

NATIONAL SECURITY

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Neutral

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Disagree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Neutral

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Answer: Reason The founders understood that individuals need to have rights as defined by nature, not anything else, in order to have a prosperous and moral society. The Constitution was the best attempt so far at creating a country that respected individual rights through an objective approach, but I believe it didn't perfectly do the job and the evidence is all around us today. There are regulations on our right to own property. There are regulations on what we can and can't do.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an Objectivist. There is no such thing as a contradiction, and when one is found, check your premises. A is A. Reality exists and we, as sentient volitional beings, can be aware of it. You can think whatever you want, but if you don't act objectively, you will face the consequences, so why not think objectively as well and truly know reality for what it is. I think that the only meaningful morality is one derived from objective facts of reality and anything else falls apart because it relies on premises that are riddled with logical fallacies. Morality is about value in the actions you choose to make. Are your actions moral? Well are they in line with your rational self interest? Is what you are thinking right now, in an attempt to debunk what I've said, really something that would be in someones rational self interest? I understand that capitalism is the only moral social system and we should move towards it as a country.

ABOUT YOU

I support using a party caucus to nominate my party's candidate for Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, and I pledge to vote for my party's nominee.

No Answer

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2016 General Election, 2016 Republican Primary

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Please check out the American Capitalist Party's website at "http://theamericancapitalistparty.com/index.html" That website displays a platform and policy that I agree with 100%. It is the only platform and policy derived only from reason and refrains from utilizing any logical fallacies. It is my goal to help this country focus on individual rights as an objective issue and take the appropriate steps towards that goal.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am the only political candidate that can advocate for a political system that would defend all individuals based on an objective approach which refrains from utilizing any logical fallacies. I am a philosopher and have studied the different ways to come to an idea. In my time so far, I've only found one philosophy that makes claims derived only from objective facts of reality while also never using a logical fallacy. That philosophy is Objectivism and I would like to utilize that philosophy in order to defend individual rights for all individuals in the United States which would lead to the most prosperity possible.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Please like my facebook page and start a conversation with me there, or let's meet up and talk in person. Ideas are important and I think we need a conversation now more than ever. Any of the questions marked as Neutral simply means that there is more to discuss than can be addressed by putting agree or disagree. For instance, I don't think that politicians should decide if a wall is built or not and it should be up to military strategists who are trying to efficiently defend our country from threats. I would hate for citizens with no military strategy background to be in charge of decisions like that. Leave it up to the military to know how to best defend our country from foreign invaders.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Agree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.
