Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
None. Just as the human body naturally accepts life, abortion is not a natural mechanism to end life. Many OBGYN's have testified that there is not a reason to abort to save the mother's life. I rely on their sworn testimony and their oath to protect life. God says in the Bible that He knows each of us in the womb. If He knows us and loves us than none of us are a mistake. We are all in His design to be here.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Continue the current policies that are working. As these policies have brought record low unemployment in the black, Hispanic, youth communities. Black business owners have grown in record numbers as well. In CD33 we still have record high unemployment. The current Congressman wants to continue to RESIST the current policies contributing to success. I want to to bring success to CD33. I want to serve as an example to CD33 that owning your own business is freedom and is attainable!
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
I would like to review again the age of retirement. We also must not award Social Security benefits to people that are not in this country legally.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Government and the cost of healthcare only became larger, while care decreased, when the private sector took a backseat to reforming healthcare. Texans healthcare costs increased 62% once ACA was implemented. Many Americans are skipping preventative care to avoid the expense. As a cancer survivor, preventative care is critical to survival! Also as a veteran, I have seen government-run universal healthcare; it leads to inefficiencies, long waiting periods, and can cost lives. My focus will be to create a cost effective, patient-centered and market based plan.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Build a Wall, increase and strengthen vetting of people coming into our country. Our country has been fighting radical Islam since 1801 with the Barbary Pirates. Thomas Jefferson fought them in the shores of Tripoli. It is still a real threat today. We must protect our country and our people from this threat. That was my main mission when I served in the military and it will be my job as a Congressman.

Our Founding Fathers were clairvoyant in creating the three branches of government to limit the powers of government. They knew the three branches would provide an invaluable checks and balances for Americans.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. God has always had his hand in life and I knew that even as a child, in my teen years, as an adult, and see his work everyday in my run for Congress. You see as a toddler, my father was incarcerated. My mother, a high school dropout, worked three jobs to support myself and my three siblings. She died when I was six years old and she was 35. At 17 I joined the Marines and at 19 I too was fighting the same disease that took my mother, Colon Cancer. I beat cancer and have been a cancer survivor for 20 plus years! Like my mother, I too was a single parent. I was raising my two daughters, while serving in the military, and working on my degree. While serving in North Korea, I met my beautiful wife. She left Japan and joined me and my daughters when we returned to the United States. We went through the legal immigration process and that was a major hurdle! All this to say, my life has seen its share of challenges but God had me in his arms the entire way.

I believe God doesn't make a mistake in His design of each of us. We are beautifully and wonderfully made. Therefore, the gender that we biologically are given is how our DNA maps us and it should be embraced. Many pediatricians express concerns that letting children decide their gender is a form of abuse. I believe the anger people have towards us on our borders is misplaced. Why aren't we more vocal in our southern neighbors creating a better life for their own citizens? Why do we give special treatment to a group of people that are not American citizens then we do over homeless Americans, veterans seeking help at the VA, or our high high school dropout rate? With the 17 suicides of our veterans each day we need to look at how we are helping our veterans transition back into the society. We need a process of how to help our veterans decompress after their service. Be it through education, counseling, and/or job training.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My life experience relates directly with this district. CD33 has the highest high school dropout rate in Texas. The median income is $39,300. I was poor growing up and my mother was a high school dropout. In this great country I found opportunities regardless of where I came from. In America your past does not define you! As a veteran I know serving the country was and is my most highest honor. I know chose to serve in a different manner. As a business owner I know what it is like to sign payroll checks. I know the struggles business owners face under heavy regulations, illegal immigration, and repercussions small businesses felt under Obamacare. It is not a talking point it was a real hardship for businesses that was then felt by employees.

I believe there are many great leaders serving CD33. I would like to work with them to bring success to the people of CD33. I know that our best days are ahead of us!
