Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
As a Christian, and a father, I am pro-life from the point of conception until the moment of natural death. I belief life is sacred and there are no exceptions to my belief in the dignity of every human life.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our founders went to great lengths to insure there were checks and balances in our government to prevent tyranny and protect liberty. These checks and balances are clearly defined and allow the different branches of government to serve their specific role in maintaining the strength of our great nation.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I am a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and active in my local church. Over the course of my adult life I have sung in the choir and served in many lay leadership roles, which have given me the opportunity and the blessing to experience the grace of Jesus Christ in my personal life. I believe that my service as a public educator, a father and a community member is a ministry and gives me the opportunity to share the love and grace of Jesus to those around me.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I think in all aspects of my live, anyone who knows me would say that I am a conservative thinker, and one who lives a conservative lifestyle and that I have Christian values in my heart. I was born and raised in rural Texas, grew up in the church, and raised my own children in the same way I was raised; treat people as you want to be treated, work hard, don't expect anything to be given to you, and live a life that would make your parents proud. I've been married for 28 years to my first and only wife and we have raised two wonderful kids. I have consistently voted in Republican primaries and have never given money to a Democratic candidate.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to allow companies and businesses the opportunity to offer good paying jobs, with good benefits, and the possibility of longevity if one does a good job. We should also set up a system with fewer regulations that allows entrepreneurs and small business owners to live the American dream.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
It is not the job of government to promote healthcare coverage for all. The job of government is to protect and promote freedom, liberty and justice for all. I believe we must reduce health care costs by eliminating burdensome government regulations. We need to promote conservative health care policies to reform health care for generations to come.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
I believe government should limit and eliminate unnecessary regulations that put a burden on businesses. They should create an environment that allows us to compete with the world and bring jobs back to rural areas of Texas.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have been in public education for over 30 years as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent. During that time I have worked with a wide variety of students and parents who represent America. From rich to poor, and all walks of life. They want freedom, liberty, a good education and the opprtuninty to live the American dream. I believe that I have the leadership, organizational, and communication experience to effectively serve my constituents.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am product of loving, hard-working parents who raised me and my brother in rural Texas. If the church doors opened, we were there. Growing up, I played every sport, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was very active in our community. After college I began a 30+ year career in public education as a classroom teacher, baseball and football coach, principal and superintendent. My wife of 28 years and I have raised two wonderful kids. Our son is a college graduate and is in the oil and gas industry, and our daughter is a freshman in college, studying to become a speech pathologist. We reside in beautiful Granbury, Texas where, in addition to my job as GISD school superintendent, I am also the 2018 Chairman of the Granbury Area Chamber of Commerce, with over 900 business members, and a board member for Lake Granbury Medical Center.
